Where were the half time adjustments

We were still in the game at half time. Why didn’t Gibbs go back to the running game. Someone else in another post mentioned how the Giants were dropping all there people back to cover our receivers that’s why Brunnel looked so ridicules trying to decide who to pass the ball to.

With everyone back in coverage we should have been able to run.

On another note the Giants seemed to know what we were doing and where we were going on every play.

What you didn't know rickmmrr is that in New York they use z's instead of s's and spell really with one less letter than necessary in most other parts of the country.

I said that. but i also said that New Yorks defensive line kicked our offensive lines ass.

Our Oline is terrible at run blocking. there is no way in hell 4 dlinemen should be able to stop the run consistently without Linebacker help. but the giants did. the left side of our line is garbage. i hate samuels more than i hate clint longley or bill bates...

i cant blame jansen or thomas. jansen has two broken thumbs playing against on of the best pass rushers of all time.

Has anyone noticed on screen plays or sweeps that our pulling linemen look back at the ball carrier instead of driving someone into the ground? i saw samuels do this a couple of times yesterday.
also, did anyone notice that after brunell was sacked or hurried, the linemen never helped him up? hell i saw raibach run off the field after his man killed brunell.

god i had samuels and dockery.

Re: Where were the half time adjustments

When Betts fumbled the second half kickoff and the Giants scored again,I think the halftime adjustments became rather insignificant as far as the running game was concerned.
I also think AP being in the middle of the Giants D helped them imensley as far as knowing many of our alignments though that should not be used as an excuse. We just didn't have a counter for what the Giants were doing, and we were outplayed across the board.

Re: Where were the half time adjustments

Any significant adjustements and any chance to turn the momentum with a fresh start were out the window with Betts butter fingered fumble...

Re: Where were the half time adjustments

One thing that David Patten said in his last article, where supposedly he was crying about playing time was that Belechik makes it a point to shut down the other teams go to player, their "super star."

who would that be on the Giants? I would have to say Tiki? I have heard the argument that we stopped him last year, but you got to realize this is a better Giants team with a passing game that alone makes Tiki' s SO MUCH better, so how could have the skins not made it a point, either by schemes, or 8 in the Box, or whatever to stop their best player. TIKI BARBER.

I would rather take my chances with a QB making his 13th start then with a 9 year Pro Bowl RB who is pretty explosive.

Or did we try to stop Tiki? I hope to god not ...

Re: Where were the half time adjustments

I agree. The Betts fumble really blew all that up. Depressing, given that we were only down 19, even after having been badly outplayed.

TOs will kill ya every time. It's getting to be like a broken record. Also, why is it that EVERY time the other team drops it, it bounces right to one of their guys? Seems like that's been happening way too much. That has to begin to even out, or the laws of physics are broken.
