1) I couldn't save up enough in time and now supplies are so limited they're selling it for like $600 here.

Re: So did anyone get a 360?
Is it backward compatible, like PS2 is with PS1 games? And should you bother with 360 if you don't have a Hi-def TV?

Re: So did anyone get a 360?
I love it, the graphics are amazing and the controllers are allot better. It is supposedly backwards compatible with over 200 titles if you have the upgraded version with the hard drive. You don not need an HDTV to play it but not having one would be like eating a steak with dental dams.
I bought Madden, NBA 2k6 and Need for Speed. I’m a little disappointed in Madden. First off the graphics are amazing and the game play is a lot better then the past two versions. But they cut out allot of shit, things like the all time and Super Bowl champions teams, alternate uniforms, practice and training camp modes and there is this annoying hiccup in the game where is pauses for a split second right before a big play like a sack or a big reception. Also when you break the huddle in past games you could hit the “A” button and the players would run up to the line of scrimmage, now the just appear there so essentially you could pick a play and be on the line of scrimmage with 40 seconds left on the play clock. I’m not bashing the game but over all it plays like a first gen, next gen console game (If that makes sense). As for NBA 2k6 this game is amazing, the graphics the game play, the presentation, EVERYTHING!! What really burns my ass is this is the same company that made ESPN 2k5 until ****ing EA bought up the rights. I could just imagine how great their version of a football game would have been. I was able to get a 360 only because I actually used my head and put a deposit on it in May. Now I see people paying $3,000 for one on EBAY. Any shithead that pays that much should be ****ing lynched!! It is doing a major disservice to future console buyers because now the manufactures see these dumb mother****ers paying that much for there product so they will increase the price big time and still be able to sell them. One more note, I just left an EB after picking up Call of duty 2 and I heard them tell a customer who tried to walk in and buy one that the next shipment, which is due sometime around Christmas, is for the reserves that didn’t get one yesterday and walk up sales wouldn’t be available until March or April. |

Re: So did anyone get a 360?
I'd like to have an XBox 360, but honestly, I don't have that much time to play video games. I'm also not liking the idea of paying $400 - $700 for a gaming console. Heck, there are games on the regular NES and Sega Genesis that I still like to play, LOL!
I think I am going to wait awhile until Microsoft has a chance to develop more games for it. Within a year's time, people will either be praising the system or cursing it out. I've seen the graphics and they are sweet, but overall, if the games dont' have the exciting game play, then I dont' want them.
