Where was Rock?
Does anyone have any insight as to why Rock didn't get a carry or 2 on Sunday? As well as he has been playing, you would think he earned at least a couple of carries.

Re: Where was Rock?
Betts is the #2 and Portis had 26 carries. That doesn't leave much for the Rock.

Re: Where was Rock?
i would've liked to see more of Betts or Rock and spare Portis some bruises with these division games coming up..

Re: Where was Rock?
I just brought that up in a prior post. Rock, I thought by his performance against the Rams, would have atleast had a few maybe 5 carrys. But Betts is the #2 guy and with Portis carrying the ball 26 times that would not have left many carrys for the ROCK. Hopefully he will get some touches here and there the rest of the season.

Re: Where was Rock?
i wont feel too bad if we let betts go... he's never healthy and rock/nemo wont be a big drop off from betts/rock.

Re: Where was Rock?
Rock Cartwright had ONE very good game against a horrid rush defense. That's why he didn't get the call in a game that the Skins needed the top flight offensive skills on the team to get the job done.
The Rock is a stopgap player; as of this moment, Nemo is behind him. That's the short answer to "Where was Rock?"

Re: Where was Rock?
He was staying warmed up on sideline all game. I yelled "PUT ROCK IN" and he looked back in my direction and smiled.

Re: Where was Rock?
2003 stats:
betts 9 1 77 255 3.3 13 2 0 15 rock 15 3 107 411 3.8 22 4 2 36 more carries more yards, higher YPC, more TDs per carry, more 20+ plays and more first downs per carry. and this year he has almost the same yardage in half the carries... not saying he should be starting or anything, but i dont think betts has really proven he's all that much better except on returns. betts has been hurt a lot though and he may have sucked this week because of coming off that injury. |
