Beware the Obstructed View Ticket

I'm sure this has already been covered at some point, but with such a big game coming up it seems the obstructed view ticket has reared it's ugly head. I got screwed last night, $200 for 1 (yes, one) ticket to the cowgirls' game, only to later find out that the seat is an obstructed view. It may turn out to not be that bad, but everyone out there beware of buying tickets in the 200 sections. Call the ticket office & confirm before you buy or bid, don't end up like me. I don't know if I can do anything about it now, if anybody knows something, please post & help us out.

Just a heads up to everyone, there are people out there, especially on ebay, who will "conveniently" forget to disclose things like this (i.e. obstructed-view tickets, fake jerseys, etc.)Thanks.

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket

As a Skins fan I just have to realize how lucky I have it. I'm local so every game is on TV and I have a brother-in-law who has season tickets and will never take any money for them.

$49 face value. It's creeps like Dan Snyder putting seats like this in the stadium to begin with that allows creeps on ebay to make a $150 profit on them. Sorry if I seem bitter, but I guess it's because I am.

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket

they had some extra tickets to the obstructed view section yesterday at the redskins box office. I called today and they have sold out. They were selling them at $49 each

That's what I was afraid of. Sorry it happened to you. Call around to see if you can get some of your money back. Whoever sold them to you should have told you that. And possibly get a quote for a seats nearby (without obstruction). ComcastSportsnet did a report on the availability of these seats with the Redskins organization 'approval'. You can even get pics of most seats' view of the field on various sites. As a fan who doesn't make a lot of money, I would consider buying season tickets in a limited view area. Possibly, being at the game (anywhere in the stadium) is better than watching it at home? Let me know...

o no the redskins were selling some tickets direct. They had some extra and started selling them yesterday but they had such a limited amount that they sold out early yesterday. I called today to ask if they had some and didn't give them any money

just a heads up seats in section 213-230 are obstructed I THINK 15 rows up and higher. I am almost positive those are the seats that are labelled obstructed

Check eBay's policies regarding ticket sales - they may have minimum disclosure requirements. Regardless, this seems like a material fact.

If you haven't paid for it already, and the auction did not mention the seat was obstructed view, I would just eat the negative feedback. If you have paid, demand your money back and tell the seller you are going to file a complaint with eBay within XX hours (i.e., give him a deadline).

Yeah cooley dark is right thats what i would do. You could easily file a complaint if he didn't say they were obstructed. Demand your money back or go straight to ebay.

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm speaking to the seller right now, they said they werent aware the seats were obstructed & seem fairly reasonable, so hopefully we can come up with some sort of compromise without getting more people involved. I'll keep everyone updated.
