How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
right now everybodys concerned with his knee, which I think at the very least will keep him out sunday, but what about his shoulder? after he made that block they were working on his shoulder on the sidelines and he only threw 1 more short pass after he hurt his shoulder before he hurt his knee,so we might be looking at a double whammy,I'm assuming his shoulder was ok since he went back in,but who knows

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
i think we can win next week as long as ramsey is a manageable quarterback. Having Santana there will help him greatly. If we take an early lead, that should shut down their crowd and make the game easier for us. I think Brunell will be ready if we make the playoffs.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
No news that I've seen on Brunell yet. But if doesn't make it back by game time and Ramsey was throwing like he was on Saturday we might be able to win with or without Brunell.
But here's hoping Brunell is out there Sunday. |

The injury really didn't look that bad...I'm hoping for the best but then again Gibbs has switched QBs after an injury and still won the superbowl (Doug William replacing Jay Schroeder).

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
I think hes not hurt that bad, but if Ramsey starts we need the run game. As well as he as did, I do not think he can throw comfortably for the entire game, like Brunell, esp if they get pressure on him. Those short 3 down situations are fine for Ramsey, but I will be holding my breath if we are throwing with him more than 40 percent of the time.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
I think Ramsey might start.
Gibbs will rely heavily on the run and it'll probably set up a deep longball to santana or Antonio Brown. Redskins will probably push the Eagles around Sunday even if our offense relys only on FG's. Last Saturday the Eagles made the Cardinals look like a championship team. I know it's the vet and I am a cautious fan. I also believe anything can happen. Honestly this Redskins team is not coached by Norv or Marty or Spurrier. Joe Gibbs is back. IN GIBBS WE TRUST!

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
One thing I DO like about Ramsey over Brunell is Ramsey's willingness to spread the ball around. He doesn't ALWAYS look for Moss first. We might actually have a Taylor Jacobs sighting this week.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
The mobility factor is a trade off though.
The Eagles, on occasion, can still bring a pass rush. And if you folks have a stationary target sitting in the pocket, the Eagles D gets a distinct advantage The crazy thing is, although far FAR fetched at this moment, is there could be an NFC title game in Washington between the Cowboys and Redskins in DC

I was thinking that this past weekend. In that respect I want the cowboys in the playoffs. What a way to really spark the rivalary.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
Brunell hasn't really played well in the last few games; it's been an opportunistic defense along with Portis, Moss, and Cooley that have carried us. Brunell does bring some mobility, but he also has a tendency to look for the first option, and then throw the ball away. Although he did improvise well on the first drive, with the flip to Robert Royal, and then also sidestepping Osi and scrambling to make a first down, it seems that any time he has thrown the ball over the middle the last three weeks, he has been intercepted, or off on his throws. Both of Moss's long touchdown passes against the Giants resulted from his playmaking ability, and not great throws. Even the catch against the Cowboys was a great play by Moss, and not necessarily a great throw. I agree, Ramsey seems to atleast push the envelope and make some throws down the middle, and spread the ball around. I thought he did well against the Giants, by not holding on to the ball too long, and even sidestepping a pass rush and throwing the ball away. Except for the first Cowboys game, I can't say with any certainty how many games Brunell has won for us, and who is to say that Ramsey or any other QB couldn't have pulled out a win for us at home against SD and OAK where we couldn't run or abandoned the run. I'm not worried either way, but I would like a healthy quaterback under center rather than an injured one.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?
It's the little things Brunell does that will be missed, like avoiding sacks and getting the guys organized at the line of scrimmage without having to call timeouts.
