Sad to see him go. He was the best in his day.

Re: R. I. P. Pat Summerall
IMO watching NFL games lost something when Summeral and Madden team split. They added something to the whole experience. At the height of GibbsI era it seemed like they worked most of our games and they clearly liked the Skins. It was great to see game commentators that were slightly bias in our favor, Madden more so than Summerall.

Re: R. I. P. Pat Summerall
Wow! You always knew it was the game of the week when Pat Summerall and John Madden were calling the game. I'll echo what someone else said earlier. Seems like another piece of my childhood gone.

Re: R. I. P. Pat Summerall
I can still hear Pat Summerall's voice during all of those games that used to come on CBS all of those years back.

Re: R. I. P. Pat Summerall
The good ole years, Madden and Summerall. And we didnt have tv timeouts every 2 minutes. I facepalm everytime they come back for kickoff just to go back to commercials.

Y! SPORTS
Good stuff. Rip Mr. Summerall it was a pleasure. Saw this posted David • I will miss you Pat. The Redskins won all their Super Bowls during the John Madden and Pat Summerall Era and haven't won since. Ive got an old Skins/Cowboys game downloaded with Summerall and Madden calling the game in Dallas if anyone wants it Id be happy to email it.
