Re: Skins vs. Colts Gameday Thread

Colt isn't the savior. But he at least looks like a competent NFL QB. To even compare him or Cousins to Beck is ridiculous. He's clearly a better fit for this offense over Griffin, and maybe even Cousins. He was solid for 3 quarters. The first part of the game the offense was terrible.

I'd probably pass on a QB this upcoming draft. Andrew Luck isn't in this draft class. They need to draft guys that can play right away.

Time for an offseason overhaul at QB...again.
I disagree.

I think if we can get a stable O-line on the guard position and find a safety who isn't trying to boost his espn resume. You can for sure be a great team with McCoy at QB. Atleast have him coach up a young QB.. Even if that QB is Kirk.

Too bad we don't have a competent offensive line.

All this talk about QB meanwhile the losses keep piling up. We've got bigger problems folks.

Right, the image is so constant I am afraid it is going to burn into my screen and I will see it while watching other channels. My wife might be watching The Big Bang Theory, and she will say "why does it look like there is a burning dumpster fire" and I will have to say, "don't worry, that's just the Redskins".

Shouldnt be hard to bolster the oline and db's with cap money and a first round pick. When was the last time we had all of that?
I agree about Colt and KC. You only have to look as far back as this year! With a secondary and oline this team would have won 4-5 more games imo. We would have won three more without Griff at QB! This team is not as far gone as everyone thinks.
Ive said it once and ill say it again, this is the most crucial offseason we are facing in years. If we eff it up reaching for players and drafting with our heads up our asses than all bets are off and this team can go straight to hell for all i care. Bring in a real GM, and DC - should be priority number one the second the offseason is upon us.

Colt McCoy is Colt McCoy, what it boils down to is Gruden. Does Gruden have the credibility to let him bet it all on Beck I mean Colt?

It's hard to build an oline. 1st round linemen are often busts.

I have heard Gruden say out his mouth he was gonna try to use Morris as a receiver. He said it before the season and he is trying it but its just not working.

Also, Ever game I have watched and Rak plays, he pressures the QB. He might not get a sack but he pressures every play. What number is Murphy again?

which QB do you think RG3 is?

stat that may surprise you - we are 10th in passing in the NFL. Imagine our rank if QB C didnt play 3-4 games.

i am a RG3 fan but gruden doesnt deserve the axe or majority of the blame for this season imo.

didnt gruden's play calling just get noodle armed journey man colt mccoy 392 yds, 3 tds no ints? .... and you blame gruden for that? you call that a qb bust?

yeah gruden sucks man .. we totally should have won 50-49.

You pulling out stats? Being a Redskins fan I have experience judging new coaches and Gruden has done nothing at all.

lets give the man at least 1 offseason to work with journeyman talent like colt and then judge him at seasons end.

just give the dude 1 offseason with a coachable QB and a better defense.

there are no better alternatives. there are no quick fixes.
what has Gruden done to earn this type of loyalty and respect. He is an Arena League coach.

Nobody said it was easy. Nobody said they had to be drafted. We have cap money.
The same could be said for every position anyway. Nobody is a sure thing. Look at your man RG-3.
Regardless it has to be adressed. So unless you know some other way to build our oline we have to take a chance.
