Get injured sometime before the game so you can have an excuse to not go shopping. Then she'll feel bad for you and spend her birthday watching the game with you.

I, however, am most disappointed by the fact that she read the post - now I can never use this one. Damn! (J/k - my wife actually is a BIG skins fan now. She still hasn't forgiven Spurrier for letting Stephen Davis get away, AND, more importantly - the first football game she went to with me was the game they FINALLY broke the losing streak against Dallas in '93). Not only is this true, but even when you do get married your dick eventually falls off. In my house, I take my wife and daughter shopping all the time and daddy can't even get the "big piece of chicken" (Chris Rock quote) in return, in other words no apprectiation. So for now while your young and kickin' and a man about - take charge and watch the Skins clean up Seattle. period. |

I think we need some answers from the two that would go shopping over watching the game.

Re: I'm facing a dilemma (sp)
Every Sunday before the game I find myself gazing at our wedding photo that sits on the coffee table right next to the TV. Ahhh....the day we were married! I can't believe it's been almost twenty years. Wow, how time flies!
She's just as beautiful now as when we first met. In the photo she's wearing a beautifully hand sewn gown that has been passed down throughout generations. Now that I look closer, seems as though she really hasn't aged much over the years. I mean, other than the dress she's wearing (I don't think she could get into that thing today!!), that Burgundy and Gold looks practically the same.....and, and, the little logo, yeah the Redskins decal with the feather.....it looks practically the same as when we first met! I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Now don't get me wrong, we've had our ups and downs over the years, mostly ups, thank God! But one thing we settled a long time ago is how we would spend our Sunday's together. We both find it so amusing when these so called new couples try to figure how to spend their time together and what to do. That's never really been a struggle in our relationship I'm happy to say. I can attest to the fact that our most intimate moments are usually on Sundays around 1pm....occasionally on Mondays, but mostly on Sundays. I mean who really needs a "girlfriend" anyway. Romance is fleeting in this day and age. I'm just glad I don't have to face such daunting choices on Sundays, because me and my significant other are practically inseparable to begin with. Good luck on game day! Sincerely, 12thMan |

Re: I'm facing a dilemma (sp)
Seriously dude - go out right now and buy a TIVO. (You should have one already unless you've been under a rock). Well, well worth the $'s. Tape the game and watch it in 1.5 hours when you get back (no commercials).
TOO EASY. And if you don't want to get one, definitely don't be a pansy after a few months of dating. That's not going to work out well for anyone. A successful marriage/relationship/partnership(for the gender-challenged, not that there's anything wrong with that) all comes back to one thing: PRECEDENT Set it high early on and you'll be set. One moment of weekness will ruin you for ever. |
