It's not an excuse at all. Simply put, when your whole offensive line is hurt and out, your whole offense suffers. I don't care if Tom Brady is your quarterback and you're throwing to Jerry Rice and Lynn Swann, or handing the ball off to Barry Sanders, your offense isn't going to work nearly as well as it does when your starting offensive line is healthy. Not only that, we had guys starting on that offensive line that weren't even on the team last week.

So, don't go with the "excuses" mentality, because it isn't an excuse.
2014 Patriots = 16 players on IR = won Super Bowl.

How many of those were starters and how many of those were the offensive line?

Agree, I think both the team and the coaching staff had an outstanding game effort. In the end the team could not come back from an unfortunate 10 point swing at the end of the first half. A freak play caused by a bad snap/hold in a rainstorm.

If you think this team did not play their best I do not think you want want to be a Redskins fan. I, for one, am amazed at the production on offense, given the state of the line. So cool it, haters.

10 IR and only 2 starters = when they won superbowl

Not even close to a comparison...BUT I appreciate the comparison to a SB Team. Thanks Bud!

12 players on IR, Jerod Mayo and Steve Ridley are the only names I recognize.

Regardless, injuries were a big part of Sunday's storyline .. yet it seems our resident Giant and Boys fans want to come in here and piss on our corn flakes after a tough loss.

Nicely done Giant1 and Sandtrap. Thanks. Friends like these ...

The kid from Penn State would be really nice. I'm over Rob Kelley. He didn't even carry the load in college and is also always getting hurt.

And probably none of those were Pro Bowl caliber players either.

Re: Post game dallas

The game ended on that blocked field goal. We were skating on thin ice with all the injuries. And we fell into the water.

After that, we just didn't have the horses to keep up. Its the NFL, you can't miss out on opportunities.

We seem to always have huge negative game changing plays in big games.

I put this loss more on mistakes and coaching. Combine those with ludacris number of injuries, we had no chance.

Also, Eliiot ate us for lunch. Still need a true NT for games against teams like Dallas. And we need another stud MLB or 2 if we don't keep Brown.

Since Shanny switching our D to a base 3-4 in 2009, we have yet to have a true NT. Kind of hard to have a dominant 3-4 D without a two-block eating NT to free the ILB's to make plays downhill. Draft a real NT, and re-sign Brown, for starters.

I'm not sure I wouldn't take a RB in round 1. Seriously how many 3-5 round RBs are game changers? Dallas hit the jackpot with Zeke, we have a great LT and great RG, add a solid C and we would be a beast line like them but we don't have a RB

I came to this thread to write this very thing. Trent needs to stop playing. I saw this movie in 2012 and it didn't end well.

You can't say RGIII's injury and Trent's injury are the same. But the idea that his knee could buckle and he could tear up everything is a prospect that scares the pants off me.

Fuck it, shut him down and take your shot next season. If he injures himself down the stretch and he's questionable going into next season then somebody needs to be fired immediately. It is entirely possible to see this coming a mile away.

Barkley should be gone by our pick but Derrius Guice from LSU is another good one

ye i guess its really just going to depend on how the board goes and where we pick and whos available...
if there is a bonafide stud rb available at our pick he might be hard to pass on - but IMO, personally, if there is an absolute stud pass rusher, thats where im going with our first pick
