It's not so much they would say publicly if they are or are not interested, it's the fact that not one source is reporting we have 0 interest or full interest. Just odd to me that we have heard nothing at all from even the press surmising. Very tight lipped which is commendable by the franchise.

Dyami Brown ready to roll:

Honestly maybe Terry, Brown, Williams, Burks, Jefferson, and McCaffrey can be decent, but I still would like to bring in Diggs and increase the talent.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

Ok, now that Aiyuk has mentioned Daniels hiding behind his mama, I am officially out.
Even if it was an act, including Daniels, it would likely be considered tampering so that could never come out. Yet, it would have to be explained as that to his teammates for them not to hate the guy for talking smack about the franchise qb's mother.

It has gone too far, I am not interested even for vet min.
In a way, I am relieved.
I still want Diggs, he is the only other needle mover out there, and we need one as QB1 injury insurance.

I feel bad for Aiyuk, he has thrown away his career, he "Could have been a contender!"(Brando)

Jayden had a great response. He posted that he hopes Brandon enjoys his retirement.

Pretty sure that was a bogus post

Also, with the recent signing of Rasul Douglas, this means the front office has a pen in its hand, hopefully they hand it to Stefon Diggs this week (just hoping!)

Who would be the best and what are the pros and cons of each?

To aquire:
1. Brandon Aiyuk 28 - headcase risk, injured, possible?
2. Juane Jennings 28 - attitude risk, non separator possible? GONE
3. Deebo Samuel 30- drops, not vertical, gadget, possible?
4. Tyreek Hill 32 - old, injured, legal, headcase risk
5. Keenan Allen 34 - old, mainly slot, wants other team
6. DeAndre Hopkins 34 - old, wants other teams, possible?
7. Stephon Diggs 32 - old, legal, headcase risk

And someone on the Roster?
1. Antonio Williams (drafted) mainly slot, can separate, possible?
2. Luke, mainly slot, non separator
3. Dyami, drops, non separator, limited route tree
4. Jefferson, non separator, catches well, possible?
5. Lane, mainly slot, undeveloped route tree
6. Burks, non separator
I'm now thinking, the only 3 vets that we would sign now would be one of the bolded three.
I can see Hopkins as viable McClaurin injury insurance along with Diggs.
There is no way I see us signing Aiyuk after the JD mom comment.

Would you be ok with us signing Hopkins?

Aiyuk's behavior is some of the most petulant, childish I've seen. Dude seriously may have thrown what chance he had of a NFL career remaining away. He has done NOTHING since signing the big contract and has basically fleeced the Niners.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

We just need a short term rental for wr this year.

Our long term wr#2 and future #1 as Terry’s replacement; will be drafted in the 2027 draft.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

Diggs was very productive last year. He should have been signed yesterday. Not looking for perfect saints, we're looking for good football players. Sign the man. He will make our offense drastically better.

Not just last year. He already has 7 1,000 yd receiving seasons and the others he produced strong numbers also. He always puts produces and puts up yards. Dude is underrated honestly and wants the ball. Do not get the delay here. Sign him. He's 32 years old not 42 lol.

I think we aren’t signing anyone early. We want to see how our wr room performs in camp. We probably don’t add a vet wr until closer to start of preseason games.

If that is the approach, Diggs is likely out.
No way a 1000 yard receiver is available AFTER teams start training camp.
Unless he is asking for 15M or something and awaiting for a starter lost to injury, which I doubt.

If I'm Diggs, I sign the week before camp to maximize my value, that's in 2 weeks.
If I'm Washington, I'm already talking to him now.

Perhaps their late signing backup plan as you speculate is Hopkins?

I do think they will sign someone who could function as both a #2, and and injury backup to Terry. Diggs is the only one who could legitimately offer both.

Exactly. Other than McLaurin (who may have issues staying healthy), we have no other receivers that are proven to produce consistently.

Diggs has almost twice as many career yards as McLaurin. He's also proven to be durable. The longer we delay, the less likely he signs here. Diggs has 2-3 years left of good football. Needs to be in DC.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

I told mothafuckers that Brandon Aiyuk was a headcase long back and people still raged about getting him on the team. The man is poor version of Antonio Brown. Fuck him and his psychotic self. He needs therapy and is blowing away his entire career.

No chance he's on the Commanders at this point.
