Williams presser

Coach WIlliams talked to the media today--haven't heard much from him lately, but man, I get pumped hearing him speak. He was very high on Andre Carter--his skills, his excellent off-season work, etc. And he said some great things about Rocky--he gets off blocks as well as anyone he's seen. Good Stuff.

Re: Williams presser

He doesn't speak enough for me. Rather I dont get the chances to hear him speak more. I'm excited to hear how our defensive is evolving and will change. Andre Carter is going to be a problem for anyone to run to. It will be good to have a sack threat and an athlete that can go to the sideline who will be as impressive like Peppers, Kearse, Kierney, KGB, among the top guys while still pretty young.

Much as I forecast that Lavar's career has been rejuvenated (but his will be delayed) Both Carter/ Lloyd coming from San Fran were highly disgusted with the team. They have been liberated from their alcrataz city and career goal advancement. They were guys who made moves in the offseason and were top of the list among actives basically. I believe both will make good on contracts and would opt to stay in the end as they approach their middle aged to retirement years. Lloyd seems he wants to be accepted and be apart of a winning team. Carter seems he wants to be released wild on offenses. He has gained a high calibur squad on defense to enjoy while he has a working offense on the other side. Belief and what is obvious will make him the best he has shown.

Re: Williams presser

The more I listen to this guy the more I'm convinced he's going to be one hell of a head coach someday. Hopefully it will be with us.

The guy does seem to say the right things. I do like the team concept he pushes. I am looking for good things

Re: Williams presser

in buffalo he sounded just as confident while making bad football decisions :/
BB (in NE) turned it aroun after being bad with the browns, so there's some precedent that coaches can improve drastically.

Re: Williams presser

How long was GW coach in Buffalo? Two years? IMO that is not enough time to judge a coach's ability. However, in the NFL that is about all the time you get.

I also think GW will make an excellent head coach some day...he just needs some time.

Re: Williams presser

in buffalo he had a good D and a bad O which was at least partly his fault. I figure he's actually learned from gibbs though and hope he'll be better his 2nd time.
