[quote=Mattyk72;210772]Sorry if I'm not overwhelmed by a career 75.0 rating.

You're right, the stats don't lie. Career completion % of 55.7. 24 games started in 4 years. Yep, all adds up to a mediocre QB to me.

This NYT article says that when it comes to QBs, statistics lie like a politician:

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/27/sp...l/27score.html

Of course, the NYT lies about all kinds of stuff all the time.

While I am no Ramsey fan, I'd take PR over TC in a New York Minute.

It isn't the stats, it is what I see on the field.

Ramsey has at least been good enough to start in this league. I really think the TC signing is the biggest off season screw up this year.

That being said, if Gibbs and Saunders are convinced he gives the team the best chance not to lose, I have to acknowledge that they know what they are doing and have their reasons -- even if I don't see it.

I worry that Archuleta will be the biggest screw up signing, perhaps in the whole league.

I think Williams is going to have to get very creative to mask Arch's coverage deficiencies

I dont expect TC to play, so we won't have to worry about his performance on the field, or lack thereof

I agree with you TAFKAS. My buddies and I were commenting on him the entire game last night, we noticed that he could have probably prevented both TDs but didn't (I guess you could say that about a lot of guys though). Also, did you notice that he stayed in even after the starting D was off the field. The coaches must think he needs more work too.

That's worried me since day one. He's going to be the more expensive Matt Bowen. A guy who could ONLY blitz.

I think that play against the Chargers when he wiffed on LT pretty much ended Clark's career here. I believe they felt he was a steady perfomer, a solid backup but not a game changer. Maybe Arch is, but I haven't seen that from him since 2001 or thereabouts.

I liked Stoutmire.

Honestly, I prefer Prioleau over them all.

See I like Prioleau. But I like him as a jack of all trades. You can plug him in on teams, CB, S, at any time.

AMD is in his "lab" working on cloning Sean Taylor, so it's all good

Tell him while he's at it to create an Eva Longoria and Jessica Alba for me: mayo-free would be preferable.

Ramsey is NOT anything special. Enough with the excuses. Spurrier ruined him, Gibbs screwed him, he wasn't going to beat out Pennington, etc.

If he was a true NFL caliber starting QB, he wouldn't be riding the pine YET AGAIN.
two points:

1. pennington is far better than collins, so that arguement is a complete joke.

2. collins is a career 70.4 rating QB, so technically, by your own arguement, ramsey is better. collins also has started 17 games in 11 years, which is far less than 24 in 4.

saying collins is better than ramsey isn't a very good arguement, especially if you want to rely on stats.

and pulling the coach knows best isn't really valid either. ramsey wanted out and when saunders was hired, it wasn't really up to him to keep ramsey. saunders wanted collins because he knew him well. He CLEARLY wasn't hired on talent, cause their were much better QBs on the market (griese, collins, etc etc etc). he also may have also wanted collins to screw herm edwards and brain drain the chiefs a bit (they had to scramble to get huard (sp?) resigned afterwards).

Your arguement also keeps stating that ramsey is a backup and not starter quality, but in a comparision with collins, that's completely moot as todd is most definately not someone ANYONE would want starting.

nevermind, steveo beat me to it.

might as well just bump up the post count at this point.

Forget about the lab though, the FDA is shutting me down (looks like I'm moving to Cuba)
