Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
USA TODAY says AA is more atheletic and a harder hitter than Ryan Clark.

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
I think he should be our outside linebacker that we need so much.

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
He doesn't have enough mass to play that position. He'll be swallowed by pulling Tackles and Guards.

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
Agree. I think it would have been more economical to resign Clark. Arch will grow and be fine though. Give him time. Everyone has shortcomings.

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
price/performance ryan wins all the way.
but ryan made the wrong end of two highlight reel game winning plays. That's why GW went out and got the biggest guy he could find. |

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
Adam is and will be a bad man on the field. You are judging him when he had guys around him that are.....GONE as of today.
He was all over the place and in the back field many times. When others are doing their part his part will be VERY visible. He's a bad ass white boy peace

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
SBF -- The guys around you doesn't mean you don't try to run with a receiver.
Adam Archeletta was an awful signing in my opinion. Ryan Clark wasn't a big name, but he doesn't have to be. He was solid. Besides the LT run, name one time Ryan Clark didn't play a really solid game. Not to mention, Taylor was really getting used to Ryan Clark. In the 60 seconds with Sean Taylor, when asked who his favorite athelete is, he said Ryan Clark. That is alone enough for me to want him in DC. Adam Archeletta hasn't put a solid tackle on anyone that I've seen. He keeps going for the hit and not wrapping up. Remember what Santana did to Roy Williams. Expect to see that if Arch gets caught in coverage.

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
IMO Ryan Clark was not solid or the the answer at SS.
He has more than adequate in pass coverage but his run support and lack of size really hurt the Skins in some critical moments last year. A few runningbacks made him look really bad in some crucial running plays last year. Adam A. solves the Strong safety run support problem (Clark) from last year, but A.A. does get beat on pass plays on occasion. We might have overpaid for A.A. During the regular season, Coach Williams will run schemes that will protect A.A. on pass coverage. |

Clark was a nice role player. As a full-time starter he has some real limitations. AA is a nice upgrade in all facets of the position. |

Re: Is anyone worried about Archuletta?
The reason Adam got burned on several plays this preseason is because he was put in one on one coverage. G.W. wanted to see what Adam can and can't do, and it's obvious coverage is not his strong point. That's why in the regular season, we aren't gonna see Adam covering someone one on one. If there's one coach in the NFL that does a great job of masking a player's deficiences (sp?), it's G.W. I'm not worried.
