King picks Texans
Over at cnnsi.com, Petey picks the Skins to not only lose to the Texans but to lose by 2 touchdowns. I used to like this guy and thought he had some decent insight but this is crazy.
I can't wait until we right the ship and stick it in every mediots face.

Re: King picks Texans
its not like Houston is a high school team. They're professionals, and they won't roll over...if we play like we did against the Vikings and Cowboys we will get beat. If we can get a running game going, and perhaps dust off the play book on the ol' forward pass we will win.

Re: King picks Texans
I hate to sound so negative, but why is it so far fetched that we're picked to lose against Houston. Because, what, we're better on paper? What have we shown this year to let people think otherwise?
Personally, I think the offense struggles again this week. I think Clinton will find somewhat of a groove, but that's about it. I say we pull this one out in squeaker....unless we have a heroic defensive effort. Right now, Sean Taylor could be our biggest 'offensive' threat! |

Re: King picks Texans
Yea, i don't see that happening. But really what have we shown this year so far to think this is a gimmee for the skins. Not much.

Re: King picks Texans
They have really speedy receivers and a pretty good QB...deffinately not a game to overlook.....But, if we play to our potential we have it!!!! Look for alot of gained confidence this week, which will lead to a victory next week vs. the Jags :-) (I HOPE!)

Re: King picks Texans
I think the most important thing for us to win the game is to have a strong game defensively. We obviously can't expect the offense to put up 42, so the defense is going to be the key. I also have my doubts about CP being able to start the whole game. I'd rather see more Betts and Duckett carrying it, so CP doesn't get too banged up and save him for the Jags.
And I don't think Kings prediction is that absurd. Like another poster stated, what have we done so far to make the talking heads think that this game is a lock for us? The answer is nothing. |

Re: King picks Texans
The Texans have the worst Pass Defense in the league. Andre Johnson is the only receiving threat they have. and they have no rush offense. Carr has been sacked 217 times in 60+ starts.
However, that's why they don't play these games on paper, but inside our television sets. I could see Houston winning but not by 2 TDs. I think Portis sets the tone and Brunell finally figures out how to throw deeper than 10 yards.

Re: King picks Texans
If I wasnt a Skins fan...Id pick houston as well. Their offense is firing and ours is sputtering...and that great D of ours isnt stopping much of anything right now...
yes yes, I have hope, as a fan, that portis gives us the spark we need, blah blah blah blah, but I think most comentators would pick Houston over us right now..
