Re: Write Monday's Headline
Brunell leads Redskins to a win; Redskins nation completely shocked.
Portis breaks rushing record for a game; but Redskins lose because Brunell throws 7 picks. Redskins win behind defensive effort; Gibbs says Brunell fought his guts out, but finished with under 40% completed passes and 5 picks. |

Redskins Win on the Road 27-17
In their first must-win game, the Redskins soundly defeated the Texans 27-17. Mark Brunell answered his critics, completing 19 of 26 passing attempts for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns. Clinton Portis, who had missed the previous week's game against the Cowboys, ran for 127 yards on 23 carries. While the offense played its best game of this young season, the defense continued to lag. Although DE Andre Carter notched his first sack of the season, the Redskins floundered in pass coverage, allowing David Carr to pass for 210 yards....... |

Re: Write Monday's Headline
Redskins struggle in nail biter; Sean Taylor sets up game winning field goal by John Hall with a 67 yd return on a fumble recovery. For the third straigtht week the much maligned Mark Brunell doesn't pass for a touchdown as he completes only 9-17 passes for a meager 137 yds.
Joe Gibbs sends two calls to NFL for review. |

Re: Write Monday's Headline
With the Redskins' playoff hopes dashed only 3 weeks into the season Redskins fans look to other hobbies like fishing, adult kickball, model airplane construction, amateur filmmaking, and spending time with their wives to pass the time on sundays.
JK, I really think we are gonna come out and kills these guys, and look good doing it. I hope, I pray.... |
