So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
I know Williams contract is set up in a way that makes him the MOST LIKELY to succeed Joe Gibbs, however, with the bad defense and bad year in general, what do you guys think will happen????? Last year it seemed to be all but a formality once JG retired. I THINK WILLIAMS AUTHORITARIAN ATTITUDE WOULD BE A GREAT KICK IN THE BUTT!!! Say what you want about Tom Coughlin, he took a talented undisciplined team and turned them into a strong, playoff bound team.

Right now GW's authoritarian attitude isn't even getting the defense in line. Granted, I know there are injuries but it's something he'll have to face as a head coach as well

Re: So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
I'm not sold on Greg Williams as a head coach. and the 1 million dollar bonus guaranteed by Snyder doesn't guarantee anything. thats chump change to Snyder

I doubt he will be our next head coach.
Snyder will go for a more sexy hire. Think along the lines of a Charlie Weiss. |

Pretty strong rumors circulating that Weiss will be the next Cowboys coach

I'm not sure about Williams. Of course, I keep having Richie Petitbon flashbacks, so that's not helping either.

Re: So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
If I could remember where I put my 8-Ball, I could get a good source to answer your question.
Is the question 'Do you thiiink he will be the next coach ' OR 'Do you think he will be the best choice for head coach'? To ask this question today is an exercise in playing 'what if' games. Too much unpredicatable future involved to even present a valid analysis of what would be best at the coaching decision milestone point. |

Re: So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
he's more than deserved his chance, especially if he manages to get a handle on this year's defense.
i'd much prefer Williams over Saunders though.

Re: So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
I think if Williams gets the defense back in shape (I'm thinking after the bye week), he'll be a likely candidate.

I don't see Snyder and Williams meshing very well. Williams is cut from the same mold of a Marty Schottenheimer. I could see GW wanting more control than Snyder would be willing to give up. But who knows, all of this is pure speculation at this point obviously, and Gibbs still has 2 years left on his contract. I don't envision him giving up so easily. |

Re: So Will Greg Williams Be Our Next Coach??
I never wanted him to be the next head coach. I think he's a great defensive coordinator, but he's not suited to be a head coach. He needs to consistently put out a good defense before we start talking about him as the head guy. The only way I would be happy is if he's the head coach and Saunders is in charge of offense or they have a new head coach come in and keep Saunders and Williams.
