Redskins Add Offensive Line Depth

Redskins Sign RG Will Whitticker

Anyone know anything about him? And please let's not get all worked up about this. It's a low risk off-season move that could result in nothing. But he's young and big (6'5", 338 lbs.) and made the Fox Sports All Rooke Team in 2005, so it looks like he could be some proimsing depth. I am just curious if anyone has any more details on him.

Not familiar with him, but hopefully he'll add some depth to an already strong O-Line. I hope we can add some depth on that D-Line as well, I hope DT Alan Branch will be taken with that sixth pick, then add Clements and some other solid players to the secondary.

Here's a little info on him:

More stuff:

JS Online:

and from - PackerChatters.com - The #1 Green Bay Packers Fan Site - The People Behind The Posts

"There were many factors that played into the Packers dramatic drop from 3 time defending Northern Division Champions to cellar-dwellers in 2005. One of the most dramatic factors was the team's failure to field a pair of suitable guards after waving goodbye to 2 talented long time veterans, Marco Rivera and Mike Wahle.

GM Ted Thompson swung and missed at left guard with FA Adrian Klemm and Scott Wells, and swung and whiffed again at right guard with rookie 7th Rd. draft pick Will Whitticker[.] ... The best news in this story is that unlike desperation rookie starter Will Whitticker, all three of these rookie players have great upside potential."

Clearly a long shot, but who knows.

Re: Redskins Add Offensive Line Depth

Lets just hope the Skins resign Todd Wade and we will only need one other lineman to have reasonable depth.

What I am worried about is I heard on 980 that the Skins and Dockery are very far apart on a potential deal - look like the Redskins will have to break the bank on Dockery and pony up 10 bills in signing bonus to keep him along with a bunch of restructured contracts.

Whatever they have to do, do it. This is a move that will speak volumes about how the front office and coaches view their home grown players.

Yeah I heard that too. Lets hope that Skins are working on restructuring other contracts to make room for Dock.

Re: Redskins Add Offensive Line Depth

I'm talking that even if it means they can't sign a Clements or anyone, they need to resign Dock.
