Re: 75th Anniversary Uniforms
what is funny is that sellers on ebay used to call this jersey the 75th anniversary jersey
eBay: ART MONK Redskins 50th Anniversary Throwback Jersey XL (item 160132208009 end time Jun-27-07 20:16:34 PDT) But now that the 75th anniversary is here and it would cause problems for them if they called it the 75th anniversary jersey because the skins obviously are not going to wear anything that looks like that, they have to call it the 50th anniversary jersey |

Re: 75th Anniversary Uniforms
Obviously the uni is on G.P. Marshall but it reminded me of a line about Baugh: "He use to show up at camp every year year with a new suit and a 5 dollar bill and didn't change either all season."

Re: 75th Anniversary Uniforms
That can be like a cool version of our white on whites during the playoff run.

I have never been a fan of the R either. Check out this site with all the logos Washington Redskins Logos (NFL) - Chris Creamer's Sports Logos Page - SportsLogos.Net This one however is by far the sweetest: |

Re: 75th Anniversary Uniforms
The yellow helmets and yellow pants were Vince Lombardi's contribution to the Skins. The Skins wore true burgundy and gold and the spear helmets, before his arrival. Lombardi basically made the Skins look like the Packers but with maroon instead of green. I'm not a fan of that look but I do like the 5 stripe pattern on the jerseys and socks and the yellow pants better than the current 2 stripe jerseys and white pants.
The true burgundy and gold uni's with the spear helmet are the best, though. |

Re: 75th Anniversary Uniforms
I guess I'm alone here, but I think these things are awful...I hope we only wear them once this year. I'm not an FSU fan but I thought the 70th were much better. These look like some broke ass high school JV uniforms to me.
Although, we could wear pink uniforms for all I care as long as we get back to the Super Bowl. I could care less what we wear I just want to win. |
