How many times have we griped about being the "Champs of the off-season" Is that what's most important to us? Is it so important that we rush to name a head coach at the risk of regretting the decision come mid-October?

Like I've said before, I completely understand the frustration fans have. Hey, I'm frustrated too. I want a decision to be made so we can move on with our offseason plans. But if it takes a little longer than everyone wants for everyone (everyone who truly matters) to be comfortable with the decision, then so be it. But it's one thing to give rational responses to your frustration, and another to demand Snyder sell the team or you're taking your toys and going home.

If your (not speaking about you specifically 12th) answer to the wait is to go off the deep end, then really you need to get a life.

(by the way, do you ever see Jack Heinbaugh at WRC?)
I don't think I saw Jack H....what does he look like?

Anyway, I'm out the door...I'll hit you later on this thread. Peace.

They were just pointing out that Gibbs aint really in the middle of squat except for his move to Toyota.

I actually don't mind the hiring of Zorn as OC. Saunders system sounded great if you had the right personel for it but we obviously don't. I don't want to wait 3+ to find out whether it will work or not.

Something simple will do on offense and let the defense be the complex part our team.

I'm sittin' squarely in your camp on this issue.

The fans have no idea what the best moves are. No idea. Flipping a coin on personnel moves would lead to better results. If we let the fans run the team, we would go 4-12 every year unless we got riddled by injures one year, and then we'd go 2-14.

Snyder has the right--no the RESPONSIBILITY to do what is in the best interest of the organization even if the fan base doesn't accept it. And in many cases, Snyder fails in this responsibility as all decision makers do from time to time, but making decisions because the fans think it is proper is a good way to ensure the tanking of the subject franchise.

People tend to forget that owning a football team is not like playing fantasy football or stating your (a fans) opinion on a message board. It's no like Dan can hit a button say "oops I guess I was wrong" and every thing be okay. All decisions have major implications for him especially with the way the team was handled in his earlier years. There has to be a confidence in his investment (and for the sake of the future of the Redskins) that the average fan cannot contemplate.

Re: Gibbs says it can be weeks...

If it was up to me, I'd still have Joe Gibbs as the Redskins' head coach. Since that's no longer happening, I want the best person for the job. If it's Gregg Williams, I'm all for that. If it's Jim Fassel, I'll support him. If it's Jim Schwartz, I'm interesting in seeing how he does.

At this point, I want Snyder to make the best choice for the team, whoever that is. The only thing I feel needs not to be changed is the players. Of course, there are a few exceptions to that, but for the most part, we DON'T need to blow up the roster.

Re: Gibbs says it can be weeks...

Lets see...Gibbs says it can take weeks.....for what? All the current coaches positions to be filled/replaced? lol. Weeks before they hear what's in store for them long after the news has been given to the media and the fan base. I'm not knocking Gibbs I'm knocking the person who sent Gibbs to talk to the staff and the next day leaks info to the media about whole sale changes. lol.

Re: Gibbs says it can be weeks...

At this point I could care less who is hired as the new coach because there are going to be wholesale changes to staff and roster no matter what ends up happening.

The only gripe there is, is the obivous poor handling of the new aquitision of coaches. I'd be surpised if any coach looks forward to being here considering what the front office has trespassed on possible candidates/in house staff thus far.
