Re: ESPN's Mortenson: Williams No Longer a Candidate
Dan Snyder better pull a big ole rabbit out of his asshat or we could be in for some long football seasons here soon.I must say the part about Gibbs asking Williams to stay, only to have Snyder say no thank you makes me think Snyder may be up to his old ways.Like always, we will have to wait and see.

When did Campbell get traded? Portis? Fletcher? Seems to me like the teams still pretty much in tact.

Re: ESPN's Mortenson: Williams No Longer a Candidate
Well every situation is different and I just believe getting rid of Gregg And Al will hurt this team. We got rid of 2 of the best in the game for 2 that arent even close. This team was bonded players and coaches alike and now its been blown up. Its reallly sad.

With new coaches they arent the same team. If you think this helps Campbells development id laugh at you. This team will lose players though trust me. With Snyder and Cerrato I cant wait to see what dumb move they do next. Its gone from really messed up to almost funny to watch someone screw up so much.

But that was going to happen anyway, even if Williams was the coach.

If williams/saunders were aboard they would have more familiarity/comfort with these guys. Now you have a new staff that may have to weed out discontented players. |

Re: ESPN's Mortenson: Williams No Longer a Candidate
If we wait until after June 1, the cap help then negates the hit, and we get killed doubly as bad next year. Jansen and Portis will be back. Springs will be released from his deal for cap relief, but I hope he resigns here on a one year deal.

I'd love to see Springs stay. But I think I recall reading that he had once stated he came to DC only to play for Gibbs.

Re: ESPN's Mortenson: Williams No Longer a Candidate
His cap # is pretty huge I think. I'd love to see him stay too. But I'm pretty sure Jerry Gray will go with GW, meaning his position coach, HC, and DC are all gone. I doubt he would have stayed even if Gibbs hadn't retired. He's all but gone. Too bad. I wonder if we'll draft a corner given the uncertainty of Rodgers knee going into training camp....
