First off, the option doesn't work in the NFL, second, it definitely won't work with a QB who can't run.
If anyone is seriously contemplating the benefits of running the option with Ramsey, you may leave the board now. |

Lets have Gardner or James Thrash run the option. It can't be worse than our passing game. At least the defense wouldn't know who's going to run the ball. Maybe we can sign B. Mitchell to come in and run the option?????

I can't believe people actually thought I was serious about running the option with Ramsey(or anyone)! It is an indisputable fact that the option will not work in the NFL. It really doesn't work all that well in college when facing a decent speed defense like Miami or FSU. The worst defense of the last 10 years in the NFL was faster than the best college defense ever in history. OPTION DOEN'T WORK IN THE NFL.

I think the option would be preferable to Brunell throwing the ball.
We threw the ball 3 times in the second half. That is option time numbers. As a wise man once said, "All I'm saying is that if it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, then by golly it must be a rat." |
