LT is our BIGGEST NEED! Why wouldn't we cover that one first?

Assuming we stay at #4 I can't see us going anywhere but LT.

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins

Losing the 2nd Round pick for a new QB can only be a beneficial trade if we get a franchise tackle in the first round. If getting McNabb somehow prevents us from helping the O-line...it will end up being a very bad deal for us.

Keeping Campbell + getting offensive line help > McNabb and no help on the line

I hope we still get Okung or Trent Williams. We should also pursue a RT in a trade if we don't pick up more draft selections to get one.

Regardless of how the draft goes down and how many deals we make...by the time training camp starts, we need two new tackles...starter quality, not just replacements.

How about a RT? LT? LB's? Our main needs are in the OL and LB positions, QB and RB are stable now.

We still can if we trade down and still pick more picks to also get a RT and LB.

Our biggest need now, is LT, and not a possibly good LT, a solid LT that will step in and keep our "aged injury prone"(LOL) qb from getting hit 100 times like JC did. RT is a need, but not necessarily through the draft, LJ could re-sign (doubtful), Heyer or another vet LT who gets cut after all these Rookie LT's are signed in the first round will be available to fill it. As for LB, whatever compensation we get for JC will go to that as well as one of our other picks. We have lots of needs, but LT far exceeds any other need right now.

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins

according to that link to the rams forum, we've allegedly only got a top-10 grade on Okung. If true, I certainly think we'd try to trade down if he's gone when we pick. The only player i can see us taking at 4 is Suh or McCoy, and thats only if we ship Haynesworth to the Saints for a LT.

He isn't a premier tackle by all means but I would feel much more comfortable with 2 starting quality veteran tackles on the roster in case the guy or guys we draft cannot start immediately. I do not want Heyer starting on opening day.

If no one wants to trade, would you be happy with Okung, Bulaga or Williams? Perhaps you'd go for a totally different player?

He has and he hates it (but he may not have a choice as the options for him dwindle). He would have been a Packer had he been willing to play RT last year.

Has he gotten over his "I have to be an LT" mentality?

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins

to me, the question is: would we even want him as anything other than a backup?

I would be happy with Okung. My point is we have too many holes to fill and I feel that another LT like the guy from USC or Campbell from Maryland are just slightly more raw but can become dominant over short period of time.
