Yea we just beat Dallas and Philly in our first division games, held both offenses out of the endzone pretty much and ran the ball great yesterday.

No need to start complaining let's all enjoy this win, it's already made a great start of the week for me. Chill out folks Things are getting better for our skins, yea we may not be a super bowl team this yr but give it a couple years.

I can't blame Heyer. He's not a LT yet they keep putting him over there. How about putting Brown over at Lt and move Heyer to his natural position.

I'm in total agreement with you here. Dissecting every single pay, chuck full of emotion gets whacky at times.

The game went very much like I expected, division opponent, hard fought physical game, the same as we always get when these two teams play. Vick having to leave early made a difference for the Eagles, and the running game finally came to life. The defense still spent far too much time on the field [especially in the second half]

Looking ahead, based on yesterdays games our next two opponents don't look so invincible after all. It was an ugly game to say the least, but I'd rather win ugly than to lose pretty.

Heyers "natural position" is LT. He just sucks.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

I was a little dissapointed in the running plays in the second half. It seemed that they went away from what had been working in the first half. Instead of east/west running, they started going downhill, and it didn't work. They got back to the stretching plays late in the fourth quarter, but I just don't understand why they didnt' stick with them for the entire game. Did anyone else notice that? I'm sure there was a reason and I'm just not yet aware what it was, but I'd love some enlightenment if anyone knows.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

I was trying to find the post were someone here posted about how they hate the Bears because it seems like everything they have done is positive so far leading up to week 4.

I said this before isn't funny how things in the NFL can change on a dime week to week.

I am starting to thing a lost to a 2010 Rams team is much different then a lost to a 2009 Rams team.

There are really no gimme's in the NFL, there are no Pittsburgh Pirates or LA Clippers in the NFL that roll just roll over like a commanded dog. Any team can beat any team on any given Sunday, don't believe me ask Vegas.

With that said this was a huge win and to be 2-0 in the East should make every skins fan feel on top of the NFL world!

What? When? You mean the post when I satirized the idea of meaninglessness (after others were already discussing it) by bringing up a number of big positives?

You must have me on "ignore" because you clearly read none of my posts.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Redskins at Eagles)

I'm laying the smack down on those fans who are hating and negative.

Before the game some people guaranteed that the Iggles would blow us out. Worse, at least one person made it clear after the Rams game that we had no hope of winning our next four games.

Give me a break. You folks are terrible fans. On behalf of those of us who bleed burgundy and gold, f*** you.

Well people were frustrated after the Rams game. I get it, that's fine. I can't really understand dismissing yesterday's win though

Yeah, considering how some were so down on the team prior to the game, to continue on with the negativity after a big win like that is just ridiculous. Some people are just happy in their misery I guess.

Granted I didn't think we would win yesterday, but I did think we were going to see a much better effort.

I didn't have time to comb through the game-day thread, but how bout some love for fat Al? Was consistently getting pressure despite being held nearly every play (with one of those holds being crucially called). Looked like a decent NT yesterday.
