Skins vs Colts Tailgate

Not sure if anyone else saw/heard this, but last night at the game they said the lots will open at 2pm for next week against the Colts. Still searching for an official on this, but if anyone else heard to confirm, want to get this out to everyone. The sooner the better!

Re: Skins vs Colts Tailgate

As part of Homecoming Day, the Redskins will open parking lots at FedExField at 2 p.m. The team will truck in four giant video boards and spread them throughout the stadium’s parking lots for tailgaters to watch afternoon NFL games on the Red Zone Channel.

Fans will also be able to enter the lower level of the stadium through the Bud Light Pavilion at 5 p.m. ET to watch the Red Zone channel on the new video boards inside the stadium.

At 5 p.m., Redskins alumni, the Redskins Marching Band and Redskins Cheerleaders will join a Homecoming Parade around the stadium.

Alumni scheduled to attend include Larry Brown, Brig Owens, Ron McDole, Gary Clark, Mark Moseley and Doug Williams, among others.

All gates (with the exception of the Bud Light Pavilion) open at 6 p.m. ET.

Prior to kickoff of the Colts, each of the alumni on hand will be introduced to fans on the field. More than 50 are confirmed to attend.

I think the team is understanding the 12th man (Not to be confused with the "12th man"...legendary poster at the WP)is making a difference. The plan is to get the fanbase in early and....Plenty liquored up for some 12th man antics at game time.....

Is this a Redskins rule to prohibit early tailgating? I have friends who have Ravens season tickets that get to the stadium at 7am for a 1pm start. I've never arrived earlier than 10 am to Fedex so I don't know all the nuances.

Re: Skins vs Colts Tailgate

general rule for a skins tailgate is the gates to the lots open 4 hours prior to kick off. sometimes they open a little early like monday nighters or if the traffic gets backed up cause of people lined up at the gates. these extened tailgates are new

Re: Skins vs Colts Tailgate

I was going to get some last minute tailgate passes, but I think the parking lot will be more fun for this game. My friend and I are coming down and we're gong to park at our hotel and walk over to the stadium. It's kind of hard to tailgate without a car, but we could probably camp out in front of one of the big screens. Anyone see the screens for the Dallas game? Is it a decent spot to bring a 6er and hangout?
