With the field position he gave us, Hunter was worth several first downs.

Wow is that right? I guess our O was giving him plenty of opportunities in the first half hahah..

And just to give a complete analysis, he did have some trouble with the hold on the skins first field goal, but he did manage to get it down for gano. Otherwise gets an A+

Re: Hunter Smith deservs a lot of credit

We're lucky he was available!

The Giants were looking at him last week because their Punter is a rookie and kind of sucks.
Not to mention Ryan Torain passing waivers...

We're winning, but we are also getting VERY lucky this season, with the exception to the Texans game.

We could be 4-1 right now....
But were also 1 play in every game from being 0-5 as well

Dallas doesn't get called on Orakpo hold and they win
Rams win
Texans win
Avant catches the hail mary...
Crosby's doink goes inside the uprights...
0-5

Count your blessings Redskins fans!

Now...lets go beat them Colts

This whole luck this is overrated. You still have to go out there and get the job done regardless of the circumstances.

The bottom line is that this year we are actually getting some breaks and in years past we didn't get those breaks. We have a team that typically keeps it close and gives us a chance to win. With the upgrade at QB we are able to capitalize on those opportunities.

Re: Hunter Smith deservs a lot of credit

From the Post article:

"Best Acquisition: Hunter Smith gets signed mid-week, comes in from off the street, punts 8 times for a 44.3-yard average, drops five punts inside the 20, and digs the ball out of the ground to help Graham Gano hit a field goal. I was never that into Josh Bidwell, anyhow. "
