Hate to say it, but contrary to those that have said it's not a good idea, I think it's a smart move. JJ can evaluate Garrett as head man & then interview coaches after the season. This will make for an interesting game this weekend w/the g men.

Wow, that is crazy -- I am so happy, Redskins aren't exactly world-beaters but we did beat the Packers who just blew out Dallas

Others are saying coaches have not been told of any changes yet, so wonder if the local CBS affiliate jumped the gun here?

I would rather they kept him, always good to have a talented team in the division hamstrung with a horrible coach!

Jerry Jones is an idiot. Garrett should've got the ax too.

Re: Wade Phillips Fired; Jason Garrett Named Interim Head Coach
I can't help comparing last year to Dallas this year. Remember how joyful Skins fans were when Vinnie was Fired. Imagine if Zorn had been fired, but Vinnie remained. Would we have been as happy? Until JJ acknowledges he needs a GM, I think Dallas will keep bouncing all over the place. A lot of Cowboys fans will be happy, as we would have if Zorn had been fired, but A LOT will still want JJ to step back.
