Cover of the famous 80's hit "Come on Eileen."

Re: Any New Music Selections?

No idea where to put this but if true it would certainly explain a lot. Then again it could easily be a publicity stunt, I mean Celebrity Genealogist? Is that even a real thing?

Lady Gaga and Madonna are cousins with French-Canadian roots | Ampersand | National Post
Quote:
Apparently pushing the envelop runs in families, because two of the most outrageous and controversial singers of the last twenty years are related. American celebrity genealogist Chris Child has found that Madonna (née Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone) and Lady Gaga (née Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) are linked by a farming couple who immigrated to Quebec from France in the 1600s. Maybe the flamboyant performer gene is recessive. Still, can you imagine the family reunion?

No problem. I still say that if the 80's had the internet they would have ended up as the greatest decade ever. Certainly one of the greatest to look back on, even though I was only 4 in 89

I swear though. One day I'm going to invent a decade with the 2000's technology advances, 90's TV, and the spirit/economy/drugs of the 80's.

And at the opposite spectrum of that sick Beastie joint... I present to you Sony's new 1 million dollar star:

Hip hop is certainly in a state of 9-1-1.

WTF? Three-Six Mafia meets Lady Gaga? Part of me loves trashy rap but not nearly as much as I did during college. Actually I can't really stand it anymore.

Would rather stick to the top studio produced Grade A music.

Good News: Only 2 million views since May. These days if you want to blow up you need something like 20 million in a couple of months.

Bad News: Showing us this video got her that much closer to blowing up

Re: Any New Music Selections?

Been listening to My Morning Jacket: Circuital, Fleet Foxes: Helplessness Blues, Sufjan Stevens: Age of Adz, Drive By Truckers: Go Go Boots, Battles: Gloss Drop and the new Iron & Wine album. Gotta say all pretty solid, the more southern rock acts albums MMJ and Drive By have really grown on me like some old skool creeper bud. Very gud.

Looking forward to listening to the new Black Lips album and the Beasties which Ive yet to pick up.

Also been rotating some classics like Rolling Stones: Let It Bleed and Stevie Wonder's: Songs in the Key of Life...gotta bring back the classics every now and then.
