The skins could be 15-0 and the cowboys could be 0-15 when we'd play them and it would still be a close game. Why? Because its a rivalry folks. Throw out the records and the players that are all pros and practice squaders who are and are not playing in the game. It will be a good close game.

The Cowboys did avoid becoming 0-16 one season...and they did it by beating the Redskins.

One good hit could cause his lung to collapse. Two types of pneumothorax's, Spontaneous which is usually from scuba diving, or sky diving, or lung disease. Tension pneumothorax occurs usually from being stabbed or rib fracture. The latter (if the lung collapses) takes about 2 weeks to recover from. But that is usually from someong who had a broken rib puncture the lung and the lung collapses. The rib itself takes longer to heal and god forbid he takes the chance and ends up constantly reinjuring either his rib or lung.

Again he didn't have a pneumothorax but they will not want to chance it with his broken rib having already punctured it once. The doctors will want the lung and rib to heal up a little possibly a week or two. Just my personal guess. They would be stupid to let him play.
I hate the cowboys as much as anyone, but I dont want romo to end up getting killed because one of or pass rushers collapses his lung. If romo plays I'm actually going to be worried for him every time he drops back. I would love to beat a cowboys team with a healthy starting quarterback, but he's not healthy. Cowboys need to sit him if his life could be in jeopardy.

I'll second that, although if he did end up getting hurt worse I'd put that on him and the cowboys coaches instead of our d unless they did something dirty, which idt would happen.

All the collapsed lung, broken ribs, if a bunch of crap Jerra is playing this out sooo well. Its all an exageration, to make Romo look good to stir up his team. I would almost bet that Jerra persuaded the "collapsed lung" verbage out of the team dr's. Wake up!! Jeesh am i the only one seeing this!!!
Dez Bryant: Quad bruise or whatever: Out for a game
Tony Romo: Collapsed lung: WIll PLAY ON MONDAY NIGHT

LMAO!!!! OMG look everyone how tough Romo is, he is a Hero!!!

Crusty, at first I thought you sounded like a typical conspiracy theorist, then I remembered it's Jerra we're talking about; he's definitely a skilled spinster. I see your point.

What I wonder is how much Romo wanting to play will factor in; will Garrett (& Jerra) let him play if he says he can? I think he'll want to play for fear of losing his job. Kitna did a good job for them last year. Regardless, I see lots of blitzing coming their way next monday!

Freddy, I am your typical conspiricay theorist, you should hear my take on extra value meals and prescription drugs but this not the time to stir up that. Anyway i am 100% convinced there is merit to this one!!!

If he has pneumothorax even if minor would require 3 weeks minimum for the body to reabsorb the air around the lung and at least 1-2 week to scar over. So I believe the collapsed lung to be all hype and BS at this point.

If his life is in any danger, it does not mater if Cowboys FO wants to start him or not, the NFL will not allow him to play if there is any doubt. If he is out on the field come Monday night, then Im all for our D putting his ass back on the sideline.

^ Not collapsed, punctured.

It will be collapsed if he meets up with Orakpo or Kerrigan this week though. When I first heard about the lung last night, I immediately wondered about pneumonia.

They'd be reckless to let him play. Kitna did a fine job last season and I think he'll take over before year's end, but Jerry Jones will probably through Romo out there this week for the headlines.

Re: We Want Dallas! 2011 Thread

I seriously doubt the "conspiracy theory" thing. JJ likes the camera nd spotlight more than he should. But at the end of the day, he is a businessman.

And I can't fathom gambling your 65 million dollar QB if the risk of permanent injury exists.

All reports are the pneumo is very minor. And if it is a displaced rib fracture there is a chance for further injury.

However, the media is reporting that the rib fracture is not a displaced fracture, and if the pneumo has healed enough, they can give him a needle to help with the pain that is expected with a rib fracture.

I'd say he has a 30% chance of playing Monday night.

Question I think the coaches have to answer is if a "limited" Romo is better than a "healthy" Kitna when game time comes around.

And Romo was 12-16 for 201 and a TD AFTER he returned late in the third quarter. That's pretty good for a guy with a broken rib and a hole in his lung.
