Interesting Stat.

A my cube neighbor was playing with our NFL stats DB and he came up with this stat:
Last season the Redskins were third worst in the NFL in 3-and-out drives at 30.3%.
KC was the best with @12%.
The Bears were the worst.

Re: Interesting Stat.

wow i am surprised we aren't last, only thing i am surprised about

Our games was just a bunch of three and outs on both sides. That is why we punted for so many times in the year 103 to be exact second in the league to..... Chicago

Re: Interesting Stat.

And I bet that we're among the worst in 3rd down efficiency. That is something that must drive Gibbs crazy, given his ball-control style. So much of that was Brunnell early. It's almost hard to fathom how bad he was!

On that thought, I think it's very important that Ramsey had some time last year to get comfortable with the short throws in Gibbs offense. I was worried that he could only air it out, but he was very accurate at the end of the year. I thought he might be ruined by Spurrier's "look long first" approach, but he adapted well. He should flourish in a Gibbs offense--we'll see this year when Joe opens it up.

Re: Interesting Stat.

Re: Interesting Stat.

WRs have to play better to see more touchdowns. That was our biggest weakness last year - the QBs may have stunk it up early, but a lot of that can be put on our WRs too. Patten, Dyson, and Moss HAVE to come through big time!
