Reid and Heckert in KC? Could be solid. They still have the whole "and who will we get to throw the ball" issue.

I got no hate for Reid and I think Philly is going to miss him. At the same time, he has some serious flaws as a HC which, I believe, ultimately prevented and will prevent him from ever winning a championship. Specifically, his time management issues, his short yardage issues and his complete and utter disrespect for the running game.

If the rumours are true, KC may have just hired Marty Schottenheimer redux (great records, no championshipse).

Reid is a solid coach. Just lost touch the last couple of years and needed to go, fresh start would be good for him. Still needs to hire a solid DC. It will be interesting to see how he uses Jamaal Charles who obviously is a dynamic back who just rushed for 1500+ yards and would fill a similar role to Westbrook and McCoy.

So Reid to KC? I guess Pioli is out then since he didn't even get to pick the coach?

I would actually feel sorry for Lovie if he got that job. That and the Cleveland jobs are just roads to nowhere. Can't win there, free agents (typically) have no interest in going there unless they are overpaid to do so, bad weather, bad stadiums, bad roster compositions, ugh.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

I like 2 of the 3 but I wouldn't say those are game changing types of players. It wasn't like he got us London or RG3. Keep in mind its Bruce Allen whos the man. (waiting for someone like Smoot to correct me in 5..4..)

Lovie is a solid coach, IMHO, who can turn a losing/mediocre team into a regular playoff contender. Not sure, however, he has what it takes to win a championship. Just a gut feeling.

Well he never has and he's had an elite-level defense for years. So...maybe they can hire him and Norv and make a mish-mash.

Re: Black Monday: NFL Coaches and Executives Carousel

On PTI last night, they said the Rams "fired" Gregg Williams and commented that it was kind of pointless since hes suspended indefinitely, but that this just meant he wouldnt get his job back if he were reinstated.

I havent seen this reported anywhere else. Has anyone heard he was fired, or do you think they mixed him up with his son's firing?

Its my understanding Allen has less to do with personel than any other "GM" in the league. For all intents and purposes, Shanahan is our teams top personnel guy, with Brown being his #2. Of course, thats solely based on what i've seen other people say, so could be wrong? Were you assuming Allen runs the show or is that something you know? I'm very concerned about Brown leaving. If i were to hear he's not as crucial to the teams composition as ive thought, it would definitely reduce some anxiety lol.

Well you could say the same thing about Green Bay. All Buffalo needs is a great player at QB, just like they had with Jim Kelly. Once they get that then they have a chance.
