Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
Fresh thread time part II.
**When posting news or rumors please quote sources even from twitter, let's give credit where it's due.** Latest news: Skins have signed CB E.J. Biggers John Keim @john_keim CB E.J. Biggers adds depth for the #Redskins secondary. Most I've talked to view him as a No. 3. But that still fills a hole. |

He's a number 3, Hall was is about the level of a number 3. It's a decent sideways move esp if the money is way less.

We need a nickle corner, Biggers is the best signing so far. He has show upside as well. Good get imo.

Hmmm....wonder if there are some restructures we havent heard about.
Either way this gives our upcoming draft a lot more options. No reason why this guy cant start. E.J. Biggers, DB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at NFL.com E. J. Biggers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He is young and ran a 4.36 40. I like it. We may end up hating him, but I like it.

The only DBs most like on this board are the ones who never give up big catches, TDs, and intercept every pass that is thrown their way. IE none of them.
Anyway I like the signing, he fills a need, and is in the perfect range of the players that the FO likes to sign.

Well last year he made 1.4 million according to spotrac, so I'm willing to put all my chips in and say he's not going to count 8mill against the cap.

IMO i dont like the idea of biggers replacing hall, so I hope we can make some strides to improve the position or keep the status quo opposite Wilson.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
He may be viewed as a no. 3 guy, but he's started for the better part of three seasons and essentially never lines up in the slot. He's an edge defender only.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
according to rotoworld:
It's an underrated get for the cap-strapped Redskins. The 6'0/185 Biggers was the lone bright spot in Tampa's rancid secondary last season, grading out as a top-20 coverage corner according to ProFootballFocus. There's also a familiarity in the scheme as former Bucs head coach and current Redskins secondary coach Raheem Morris was with Biggers for his first two NFL seasons. Still just 25 years old, the 2009 seventh-round pick has 24 career starts under his belt. If the Redskins don't bring back free agent DeAngelo Hall, Biggers could be penciled in at left corner.
