Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
I am working under the impression that Gibbs knows that the offense isn't producing enough to win consistently and QB is the reason. He didn't say that Brunell is the answer yesterday, he said he is looking for someone to step up and become the QB of the Redskins and lead them.
He has zero confidence in Ramsey and let's take emotion out of it and look at facts, Ramsey has done nothing to instill that confidence. He started and lost in 3 games last year that exceptional QB play would have led to victory (Pittsburgh, Philly, Dallas) which would have put us inthe playoffs. He was 2 TD-4 INT in the pre-season, he fumbled twice and threw an INT on the opening series in the opener. That's not going to cut it for an NFL QB. If it were Boller (for example) doing that we all would be saying how much he sucked and laughing at the Ravens.. He had his chances, crapped the bed last preseason and didn't win the job, didn't excel in the regular season when he got a chance and didn't shine in the preseason or the opener. I don't know why any of us are suprised or offended that Gibbs made an obvious choice. So, yes, I trust him. |

Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
YES, Joe has the team's best interest at heart. Come on, this guy ain't Bill Parcells or Jerry Jones........Gibbs doesn't have an ego, he loves the Redskins and wants them to do well, that's why he came back from retirement. He didn't have to....he already has his Super Bowl rings and his HALL OF FAME bust in Canton..........

Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
If you look at Gibbs's coaching career.
He always sparks competition between QB's as his strategy to make them perform better. Look at Mark Rypien

Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
I think it depends on what you are talking about. I think Gibbs is a great man who has done wonders for our franchise. Can anyone imagine what the Redskins would be like without the Joe Gibbs I years? We'd be a speck, just another team (and a bad one at that).
However, I'm not going to swear a blind oath of unquestioning loyalty to anyone - including Gibbs. If I think his decision to put Brunell in is a boneheaded one, I'm sure as hell going to say it. So....I think he's making a bonehead decision, but I trust him otherwise. |

Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
Yes, for the simple fact that i trust his decisions are made for the team's sake. He may make mistakes, but he's not doing them because of ego or to save face. His decisions are rooted in winning and that's what I'll stick by.

Re: Do you trust Gibbs?
If Ramsey had more class he would'nt have asked for a trade right now. Is this really the case?
