So true....our good history is so history now that we don't have any good history.

I would love Bowles and said previously he is my pick but I don't think he has enough experience as a coordinator to jump into a HC job.

My pick for the moment would be Lovie Smith or Shaw.

Lovie has a proven track record and winning record.
Shaw has extensive NFL experience and proven college HC experience.

What does knowing our history have to do with being a good coach? Shit I know our history.
It's because he was a great player in our glory days. most people will assume he will try to build the team exactly how those great teams he was on was built.
The same goes for Todd Bowles who I would like to see back in DC.

With that said, it's just not ex redskins players. No one wants to see Tre Johnson or Tydus Winans as the redskins next coach.

Mike Shanahan is averaging more than a million dollars per win.

Ouch.

Get it straight. It's not 20 years of losing ... It's 20 years of mind numbing mediocrity.

Have some pride.

Little known fact: Tydus Winans' wife is a princess in the Royal Cambodian Family and his father-in-law (deceased) was a former Commander in Chief of the Cambodian Royal Air Force and Prince.

He's never had a top 10 offense.
Is he just the next Gruden?
I think there are a lot of people who believe that Andy Dalton is playing better than he should, and that's because of Jay Gruden.

Also Gruden was a championship level head coach in the legendary Arena football league and United football league

I think what Gruden's doing with Dalton more falls under the umbrella of managing a quarterback rather than developing him -- you'd rather have the QB developer -- but either is a better approach than what we have going on here.

It irritates me the best HC prospects are likely to prefer Houston and other franchises before DC. Dan will pay top dollar and we have a franchise QB. We have a lot to offer as a franchise. What the deuce??

Russ Grimm is a proven developer of O-line talent. He has created two strong line that went to the Super Bowl (Steelers and Cardinals). He also developed the Jon Jansen and Chris Samuels. Russ would fix the O-Line.
