That's why they haven't hired anyone yet. They were waiting for him to return from the Baylor game. :-)

Maybe Robert's the unofficial GM, and thats why they haven't come out and said anything . . . brilliant!

He's there to pick up Briles, no interview necessary. He'll just bring him back to DC.

That is why they should part ways with him. Let him see how good the rest of the NFL thinks he is.

We cannot sign a BIG NAME youd expect us to sign the guy coach. We need to stay under the radar and make the smart move in hiring Darrell Bevell.

All great coaches get theyre start somewhere. Let us be where Bevell starts his.

I actually felt embarrassed for Briles last night. Poor performance on the national stage. Hopefully Danny and Bruce took notice.

They had an off night and still put up 35 points and 500 yards.

One loss won't ruin him, just like Shaw.

That's got to be it... Maybe Robert did the interview himself after the bowl game? It's all coming together now..

That is usually what happens when your defense is absolute crap.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Well that was UCF, and Shaw had a team imo that could beat both Florida State and Auburn. Shaw's teams are tough and resilent, which you saw yesterday. Baylor looked unprepared, mistake prone and undisplined. I would never describe a Shaw Stanford team like that for any game in his short tenure. Baylor while exciting and electric, has shown this type of ball before under Briles.

I seriously think a Briles hire would be Spurrier 2.0. The absolute only way it would work is if Briles had a defensive cordinator/assistant head coach with extensive experience not named Haslett.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)

Gregg Williams was let go because Vinny was afraid of Gregg trying to get rid of him as Head coach. Gregg wanted Gibbs type of control.

My updated coaches:

Head Coach
1. Russ Grimm
2. Ken Whisenhut
3. Hue Jackson
4. Sean McDermott/ Kirby Smart
5. Jay Gruden/ Mike Zimmer

Defensive Coordinator
1. Ken Norton Jr.
2. Kirby Smart
3. Raheem Morris
4. Pepper Johnson
5. Gregg Williams

Offensive Coordinator
1. Hue Jackson
2. Greg Knapp
3. Rob Chudzinski
4. Ben Mcadoo
5. Terry Robiskie

I think Briles would be smart enough to surround himself with a strong staff. He doesn't strike me as a Spurrier type that would take the job for the $$ and think he can hit the golf course by 4pm every day.

I'd really like to see Hue Jackson back here in some capacity.

Sean McDermott with Hue Jackson as his offensive coordinator? The more I think about it, the more I really like McDermott over everybody else. BUT, I DO want to know who his offensive coordinator would be.
