Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
All of a sudden our DL is bigger than our current pee wee sized OL.

Add Anthony Spencer to that and we are looking smoking on our front seven.

Ryan Clark is looking more and more likely. Not my first choice but we have minimal options.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Like some have said, Hatcher signing probably means Bowen gets cut, but still a solid group that can get after the passer and play their gap assignments.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Bowen is Hatchers best friend in real life. It might of been one of the big reasons he signed with the Redskins. I doubt they cut Bowen.

All depends on how he looks after surgery.

Bowen or Golston? Golston goes.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Releasing Bowen frees up more cap space from the figures others have posted, but I'd prefer if they could redo his deal and keep him as he's more consistent than players like Golston.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Agreed. Haz loves to alternate his DLs so the more big bodies, the better.

they probably have to cut Bowen ($7million salary/ $2 ? million cap space) and free up as much cap space as they can.... there are still several possible FA signings |

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
They can definitely rework some deals to free up another 10-12 million in space.
But you gotta remember that I believe after year three Morris can ask for bigger contract (any player selected after the 1st round can get an year 4 contract upgrade 1st rnd after year 4), Kerrigan, and Orakpo following 2014. We can't put a ton of cash into the future. Plus we still have possible cuts along other units. OL guys have been mentioned (Chester, Monty, KL). We can make whatever moves we want work with the contracts we are paying out.
