Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
^ agree with most of what your saying.
To me, the preseason "heros" who came through: Trenton Robinson, Silas Reed, Doss, Wil Compton, and Gabe Miller is honerable mention. To me the most interesting choices will be RB and what to do with Aldrick Robinson. Are we keeping 6 WRs? IMO Silas Reed has beaten out Royster and Thompson. Seastrunk is PS all the way. Thompson just doesnt look the part imo. I would think Aldrick Robinson has trade value of a late round. Doss from Southern should be PS Would Seastrunk make it to the PS is the biggest question out there.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I would be more than ok if they kept Redd and Seastrunk and cut Thompson and Royster. Neither will hopefully see a ton of time with Alfmo and Helu the starters but both played well against various levels in the preseason.
I hope they only keep 5WR and put NWilliams on the practice squad. Not sure if I want Moss or Robinson as number 5. |

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I'm with the keep Seastrunk and Redd crowd, although I'd keep Seastrunk on the regular roster and use him one or two plays a game to get some pop.
Geathers had an excellent preseason. I hope we keep him.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Hate to say it, when you're at the end of your career, as Santana Moss is, and there are at least 3 and possibly 4 WR's ahead of you on the depth chart, it may be time to go.
No, you don't cut an Aldrick Robinson and keep another WR who is not a starter and is near the end of his career. Robinson has stepped up his game. He is a legitimate deep threat whose speed must be respected by the opposition. He is the logical man to backup DeSean Jackson. However, it is possible that they could keep as many as 6 WR's. If they do, Moss would stay. Right now, Santana is probably a better WR than either AR or the rookie but his age will probably work against him.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
i watched until half way through the 3rd.
i liked thompson. he had good short bursts and had good wiggle with his hips. didnt realize how small he is. LB miller was everywhere. Murphy is tall and it looks like he plays tall. if he can learn to play with his frame he should be a solid starter in a few years. i dont think he will be much help this year. neild - any update? |

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I think Redd has really shown to me that he should be on the team. I'm not sure I love any of our options at the #2 spot right now. If one of the younger guys could just become adequate at pass protection I think they'd be a lock.
Helu is what he is...I think we have 3 guys who are younger, cheaper, and just as fast or faster. Cut him. Royster just isn't good. He gets what is there. He didn't look any better or worse against scrubs. His only plus is his pass pro. Cut him. |

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I have a hard time believing we'll cut Moss. I think we'll have 6 WRs this year. ONly a matter of time until one get hurt anyways. Really can't cut either Moss or Robinson.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
If Helu were anything less than a lock, he would've played last night.
Also Seastrunk has to make the final roster, IMO. Every single team around the NFL has had a young RB flash this preseason, but none of them have Seastrunk's speed. I just don't think he would clear waivers. |

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I think Redd has zero chance of making the 53.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
i think he'll make the practice squad along with CT.
My guess is 1. Alfmo 2. Helu 3. Seatrunk

They would be my 3 for sure. Keep reading Gruden loves CT so he may make it but he'd be PS for me.
