Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
Incognito is different. He was a locker room cancer. Rice wasn't. Besides, not sure how they can suspend Rice indefinitely when they are in fact breaking their newly rules they've just put in place.

Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
He was abysmal last week. Just aweful in pass pro, better in run block. Richie Incog can do both better, you just have to be able to put up with horrific and graphic sister and mom jokes.

Ravens release Ray Rice

They probably reserve the right to review and rule on each case individually, hence the indefinite ban. Either way, no team is going to want to touch this guy for a long while. |

Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
What Incognito did is totally different from Rice but the forgive and forget aspect of teams towards players isnt.

Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
Sure has been a long look. It's week 2... teams aren't exactly knocking down his door. They had all offseason to look into him. |

He may or may not get signed, who knows. My point is he was a pariah and now teams have and are looking at him. I have learned to never say never when it comes to the NFL.

I hear what you're saying on 2nd chances, he probably just isn't the best example since he's still waiting for that 2nd chance. He also didn't beat a woman on camera. |

I still cant get past the fact that the cops had the Rice video and barely batted an eyelash yet the media has turned it into one of the worst things ever done by an NFL player. |

Totally agree the bigger story should be why he's walking free.

Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
The power of images.
This reminds me of Desmond Hague, the puppy kicking CEO that ended up getting fired. At first the board of his company punished Hague and required him to serve 1,000 hours of community service and donate $100,000 towards the creation of an organization dedicated to protecting animals. The public outcry was so intense after they announced the punishment that they ended up having to fire him. His company was a sports catering company that served some NFL stadiums. The other one is the new Ferguson video that shows the two contractors raising their arms and saying "his arms were up and they still shot him", as they were watching the shooting. That is going to be hard for the policeman's defense team to overcome. |

Re: Ravens release Ray Rice
why does the video have anything to do with anything?? he is being punished for the same thing twice . . . when he told folks (nfl, police, ravens, etc.) that he punched his wife and knocked her out, what the hell did they expect it to look like on video? this is the nfl trying to make up for the public perception that the nfl did not punish him hard enough . . .that is it. . . . that being said, i agree with the harsher punishment, just not how the nfl got there
