Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread
If you watch Gruden's post game conference it's clear he's pissed with the defense. In my mind, that gives me hope because I know he's a smart guy and will either A) Get Hazlet fired up and get him coaching how he needs to, or B) Fire him and replace him with competent staff.
This game looked exactly like I expected. RG3 is rusty and our team still isn't very good. I'll admit the raw talent we have is probably the only thing keeping us in the game, but we need to remember this is Gruden's FIRST year. Give him at least 3 to really get "his" guys and players and personnel and then grade him. I believe in Gruden. It just takes time.

B is the only choice as far as Haslett goes. The guy is a career loser with a track record of leaving a defense worse off than when he got to it. It is UNREAL that this clown is still employed. |

I was watching football life and was reminded that ole Hazmat Suit got rid of Ricky Williams. After the Saints sold their draft for Ricky, he still wound up being a beast running back. Hazmat Suit is crazy.

We all know you have an undying love for RG-3, but just stop. Dude got worse as the game went on, and it culminated with him throwing the season into the dirt. You keep mentioning that he did not throw 4 picks like that is some major accomplishment, but you cant throw anything when you are holding the ball for 5-10 effing seconds. |

This was a winnable game but unfortunately the D cant stop anybody. Something has to change on D.

I thought winning was your bottom line?

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread
We simply do not have players on defense. Where was Kerrigan and Murphy? What about the prized free agent Hatcher? Where was the game saving sack when we needed it? Clark should not be on an NFL field at this point. Bowen also gets blown 5 yards off the ball. So many players on this defense are just average or below average.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread
It is not a secret we need some additional talent from another draft and FA to reinforce the D
And hopefully in the offseason mgmt and Jay will fairly evaluate Haz's tenure.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread
I don't know that I want 1 defensive lineman playing more than 75% of the snaps. Even the most well-conditioned d-linemen need breathers. If a player is tired, I'd rather he remove himself from the game, we know what happens when tired players stay on the field, especially on defense.

Minnesota had been average 12.5 points the last 4 weeks leading up to this game....Defense blew it the second half

Griffin didn't look horrible. At times he looked pretty good. O-Line is a mess; pass protection is horrible.
