Re: The everything Gruden thread
Dalton was up and down last year. To me he's just an average to below average QB. I don't think he's taking Cincy anywhere. Campbell is a better QB than Dalton and he should be their starter.

The everything Gruden thread
I like Gruden and I think he has potential to become a good coach (he isn't there yet). But, if the Skins lose out and with the improvements on our roster (albeit modest ones) we end up with the same record as last year when everyone gave up, I will have some real reservations about him - even for another season. The time to show some fight is now.

Dalton's stats Captain Checkdown's (Campbell) stats And even worse, keep in mind Dalton's stats include playing against the Steelers and Ravens D twice a year. Nobody should confuse Dalton with Rodgers/Brady/Peyton, but nobody should confuse Campbell with Dalton either. |

Dispute over Redskins’ Robert Griffin III could lead to showdown between Jay Gruden, Bruce Allen - The Washington Post
Here we go again.

I don't know what to think of this soap opera! What does bother me is the fact that Gruden gave up on RGIII and Kirk way too prematurely.

Re: The everything Gruden thread
This organization is an embarrassment. If Snyder cans gruden, I'm gonna be done for awhile. We are just repeating the same mistakes over and over

Firing Gruden would be a terrible mistake in the eyes many and yes we will continue to be the embarrassment of the league.

A sharp guy would have the stuff to sway Snyder and Allen the right direction on Haslett, adding a QB coach, investing heavily in the oline. But he's got to earn it. Much of the season Hasletts group has been sharper and better prepared than Gruden's. We all want Haslett gone, but some accept worse from the HC. Say what |

Re: The everything Gruden thread
I don't think Gruden should be fired, but let's not act like he's been great despite of RG3's regression.

The everything Gruden thread
Quote:
You forgot a horrible GM, horrible DC, and years of building a team based on bad trades and bad draft picks, inherited salary cap issues, and no first round pick in year one. Shanny had complete autonomy for 4 years. Lets give Gruden at least 1. RG -3 regressed last year, it was just blamed on injury. Nobody could have turned this team around in 12 weeks. Nobody. Good for Gruden for calling it out to the media. The 2 ton elephant in the room is no longer hiding behind yes people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: The everything Gruden thread
If you think Jay Gruden came and cursed some magical franchise, well then you're an idiot
At the same time, Jay was neither the Redskins' first choice, nor were they his. So off the bat, it's been kind of a shaky relationship I still think he's here one more year. And then he's gone
