Agreed. Say what you want about Jerry, but he stuck with Garrett far longer than his fanbase (our ours) would have. They've known exactly how to draft every year, starting with that O-line.

When Dallas eventually makes their inevitable playoff tumble, their squad is still set up for success (even if they let Garrett go at some point).

He is not head coach material.

I think Jerry has a lot of good people that do enough to keep him from f*cking things up. Like when they stop him from getting Johnny Jackass during the draft.

Too bad Bruce Allen doesn't have anyone preventing him from making dumb mistakes.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

I was totally on the Gruden bandwagon for a long time, but I'm extremely discouraged with this team right now. We were absolutely not ready to play today. It wasn't a thing of talent or lack of depth, we just weren't ready to play. And it seems like there's no discipline on this team at all... penalties, dumb plays, and a seeming lack of effort for much of the season.

Gruden needs at least one more year, because this is a loser organization and he's working with losers, but I'm not nearly as hopeful about the future now as I was 2 months ago. I voted "2" on the poll.

Both teams are not going to the playoffs. But just watching the game today, you could just tell which team wanted to be out there, you could tell which team was really playing hard, and which one was just going through the motions.

Also, Phillip Thomas is just terrible.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting its a good idea, I was just pointing out that things suck that bad.

Love to hear this, especially under the circumstances we are operating.
Totes meaningless. Players said same about Shanahan while here, and that story changed the minute he left the building. It will be the same with Gruden.

Do you have a connection with the team? Where does your info come from? I appreciate your input, but at least....on the surface, I would value CC's opinion on the issue over yours.

Typical, the curse of the Danny strikes again...guess the younger fans can take solace in that they will hopefully outlive the little bastard.

Voted 2, have no real confidence in Gruden. Matter of fact he has pretty much failed at this point. His job was to make Griffin a better QB which for whatever reason did not work out. The franchise is total wasteland, calling it a dumpster fire, does not capture the magnitude of how bad it is, this is more on the scale of a Chernobyl/Fukushima. What a friggin disaster.

No no nothing inside I'm talking about public comments. There were players supporting Mike right up to the bitter end. Soon as he was fired players said happy to move on. Doesn't have to be same players.

Gruden is even worse than Mike, way over his head. Players can't enjoy it. Looking like clowns isn't fun.
