That's like saying for Mayweather getting socked in the face doesn't suck.

Getting socked in the face will always suck.

Brady gets suspended and the Pats lose a first rd pick and the focus is all on Kraft's fine? Makes sense.

Re: All things off season 2015.

I understand why Brady got punished. I am confused why Kraft/Patriots got punished though. I was under the impression that the report, which is what the punishment was based on, cleared pretty much everyone except for Brady and the two locker room guys.

To me it is like suspending a team for a drug violation. Doesn't make sense.

Especially, as was pointed out on twitter, if Brady serves a 4 game suspension they save 1.8 million. My guess though is the league plans on the suspension being reduced to 2 games in which case the fine simply keeps the patriots from keeping Brady's salary.

The NFL is obviously responding to the need to punish the organization for allowing a culture of cheating. Over the years, team management and ownership have looked the other way and denied everything in numerous cases of alleged or actual cheating. Bob Kraft has already said that he would accept the league's punishment so it's all over except for the dust and smoke settling. Now, Bob, go and sin no more.

BTW, the NFL doesn't need to prove that this culture of cheating exists to the same level that it would if this were a court case.

I wish some of the morons in the media would realize/remember that Brady is also being punished for not cooperating with the investigation and basically lying the league.

Failure to produce McNally one more time made it easier for NFL to hammer Patriots | ProFootballTalk

Patriots really dug their own grave with how they handled the investigation.

Exactly. The draft picks were the biggest thing in my opinion. Even with Tom missing 4 games, they can still win that division.

this. Cover up worse than the crime.

Brady and the Patriots acts of arrogance and entitlement is old. They have no one to blame but themselves. I hope they get no where on their appeal .

If your waiting for people in this country to stand up and be responsible, keep waiting.

If this sob would have just stood up and been accountable, with something along the lines of:

"This is a common practice along across the league and at every level of the game which I participated in...the league's standard of air pressure in the football is antiquated and needs revision. I should have taken a different direction and consulted the league to review the air pressure rules of the football. Even though I 100% do not believe this affected any outcome of any games, I am apologize for my actions, its wont happen again."

The media turds would then nod their heads in agreement and we wouldnt be here.

Big red flag. Arrington can shut down the slot and provide depth on the outside.

Seems like it had a lot to do with him not wanting to play special teams.

@JamesStarksKPRC

Source: #Texans safety DJ Swearinger waived due to unwillingness to play Special Teams.

Swearinger doesn't fit here. He's everything that Scot and Jay don't want.

I wouldn't mind if the Skins kicked the tires on Arrington.

Re: All things off season 2015.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-...143608921.html

a quick read, straight to the point argument for why the NFL handed out the punishment they did.

If you view this as just a strictly PSI issue for one game = it would seem harsh

if you view this as more than a PSI issue for one game = it would seem fair imo

** i fully believe that if the term "tampered" was used from the beginning instead of "deflate", public opinion would be more critical of Brady and the Pats.

I believe that 2 of the more important aspects of persuading a group of people comes down to branding (think anti-abortion compared to pro-life or riots versus protest or pro-2nd amendment versus pro-gun) and primacy over recency.

You get your story out first, you tell it in a way that people can readily understand and present it in a way that seems believable = people's brains will accept it as true bc people's brains want things to be simple, easy and routine.

You present something that gives the brain pause or doesnt quite pass the subconscious smell test = brain is activated and brain starts looking at things critically .. sometimes too critically if bells and alarms went off.

Fans are just as bad as the media. You have idiot Patriot fans over at the /r/Patriots subreddit wanting Kraft to sue the NFL for 1 billion dollars for devaluing the franchise.

Yes. That stupid.

Yes. That stupid.
But yet people complain and say Skins fans are irrational and incompetent. I heard a Patriot fan complain saying from everyone he is talking too that goodell has it in for the Pats and want to avoid a future dynasty within the league. Its a conspiracy! Tin foil hats coming out folks
