The correct answer is "Hell no!".

Bottom line: He ****ed up. I don't know why he shanked that punt but he definitely shanked it. Nobody punts the ball 27 yards or 17 yards or whatever the distance of that punt was on purpose.

He's a good punter. I never said he wasn't. You inferred that. His rare bad punt was just one example of a poor ST play. Nevertheless, my point is that we can't have people on ST continuing to make crucial mistakes if we're going to beat the Giants or anyone else.
It's easy to complain about a shanked punt but had he done the same against Miami, we might be 2-0 right now..

I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to see our OL/DL put their foot up some NY asses tonight.

Eli looked terrible in the preseason but that didnt carry over,Giants could easily be 2-0 just like us.Eli has owned us in his career{15-6} and I dont see this game being any different.I see this being close but I think once again we find a way to lose, either by penalties or special teams.

If there is a game Ryan Grant could break out, its tonight. This is a good match up for him.Prince amukamora(sp) should shadow Garcon. Jordan Reed officially has the attention of defense cordinators after last weeks performance. Also Spags likes to move folks up to take away the run...and with our attack, it will be Spags/Coughlin's focus tonight. Brandon Merriweather is a starting Strong Safety.

Ryan Grant bring your A game son, cause you will have opportunities.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

there should be enough tape now on offense that i imagine D coord starting stacking the box to take away the run.

we have been horrible at second half adjustments.

really hope we adjust to the D coordinators adjustments.

hopefully kirk doesnt implode with more passing responsibility.

Don't let Giants get a fast start

First time our OL will face crowd noise, communication is key.

He's not yet ready for the NFL but he has potential, so they're stashing him on IR.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

The Giants must win this game and they should win it if they have any character at all. Due to circumstances (Romo injury, Eagles in disarray, Skins just starting to build a team with a new GM), an 0-2 team in our division has a better chance of making the playoffs than they usually would. But 0-3? Well, that might just be a different story. This game is huge for the Giants and they are at home which should help them.

If we beat them, then we may have a better team than any of us thought at the start of the season. That would be so sweet!

Yeah maybe. But if he wasn't ready then why did he make the cut?

I would agree here. I love the way we're running the ball and all, but we're going to have to hit more big plays in the passing game if we want to win this. We need a big game from Grant.

This is a guess on my part: I think that Spaight is a person who made himself a draftable player through dedication to hard work and extensive film study. He is not particularly fast, yet he always seemed to be in right place in his college film that I saw. He's a blue collar player and the Skins have got to love that. I'm thinking that his work ethic and potential made it hard for them to cut him. We need to remember that we're building a team and more time and effort needs to go into player development in order to build depth. With that in mind, SM is going to use every trick in the book to stash players. BTW, Beathard and Gibbs were masters at that.

I think he needs to know our defense inside and out, study NFL offenses, and build up his body to succeed in the NFL. He might even be able to improve his speed and quickness a little. Let's hope he'll be ready to rock 'n roll next season.
