If the eagles are smart they should hire Hue Jackson.

If you troll the Philly message boards for sheer laughter its a beautiful day...you have the Chip Kelly apologist on one side and the eff you dip shit Chip on the other side. Philly fans are eating themselves today, just beautiful to see the dysfunction.
I don't know any Eagles message boards, but I might have to take time out of my day to be a troll.

now some idiot espn sportscaster is trying to paint the rosey picture of how great the eagles coach job could be..actually talked about how the redskins might not be able to keep cousins and how bad the rest of the nfc east could be and the right coach could come into philly and they dominate…REALLY???? Wish in one hand and crap in the other and tell me which one fills up first!!!!

you dont need to troll them, they do a fine job all by themselves.

Re: Chip Kelly Fired

Is it wrong that I get sooooo much joy from Philly being f'd for the next several years b/c of Kelly? I mean, they have real, deep systemic problems at this point. Can I finally have hope that they will now be the new basement dwellers for an extended period of time?

Yes. I agree. Jackson would be a very solid hire for all sorts of reasons. For one thing, very much a players coach.

not bad, but the most ridiculous board is bleeding eagles green. after the Skins ass kicking last week most folks agreed the better team lost that day.

This is the college HC pitfall. In college, a stellar head coach can have near god status for his players. He can improve scholarships, he can nearly control their lives. In the NFL, it's a job. You don't mess with their health, their pay, or the lifestyle. Kelly stated frequently that he didn't focus on players health, he certainly tried to control their lifestyle, and just didn't understand the pay system very well, imo.

His ego is too high for him to make another run at the NFL, and I don't think he will be back. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him sit out next year then cherry pick a college team to go to.

ESPN has become TMZ. Rarely watch it anymore.

It is a goldmine. It's days like today that make me LOVE living here.

Most fans calling in are in total agreement that letting him go was absolutely the right move. Very few Chip apologists calling into talk radio. So there's not a lot of disagreement, but the anger they're feeling about how disjointed the roster has become is absolutely glorious.

They're so pissed about lack of investment in the line, complete mismatch of styles, and now they're so afraid of the long term QB solution because they know Bradford is going to view the Eagles as just another team looking for a QB. He has no reason to return.

Even if he does, he's not the answer. People here feel so hopeless about the QB situation, it's so great.

luv it...on the message boards every now and then someone will post a reminder that Andy Reid just clinched a playoff birth reeling off 9 straight wins with an "inferior" team (of course).

Nope , it's already kinda out there that the coaching tree is safe unless he choose's to retire but the Team likes everyone and Mcadoo and Spags have a strong bond.If one gets the head job the other could very well stay the one in danger is Jerry Reese .Had the Giants been able to just make a stop on any of the last drives of the eight loss's say , Carolina , Cowboys ,Patriots you know what would be happening .Fact they didn't the Skins are the Champs of the east and that is the fact.Giants need a Defense and a tight end their salary cap is very good ,look to see them active in FA .
