Yeah, that's why Eli got mvp on both of their SB wins against NE.

Because he definitely deserved either one

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

I think Fitz could easily lead the Broncos into the playoffs

How , if you look at the loss's the Denver D is taking and think about how dominant they were even with keeping Von Miller I can't see it.The Broncos still owe a roster bonus to Ware who knows if they are willing to pay that..

Core of that defense is still there and they still have a top cordinator. I'm not concerned about the defense, they will be fine.

Re: NFL Free Agency 2016

Have to remember that with Denver running Kubiak's system (similar to Shanahan's) you want a QB that can roll out and throw on the run a little bit. Sanchez can do that, for all his warts. That's not Fitzpatrick's strength.

They won't feel satisfied with Sanchez as their QB, but they wouldn't feel satisfied with Fitzpatrick as their QB (would you?) so why overpay him.

I was under the impression that Fitz was quite mobile; I could be wrong. I think given what's out there, I'd rather have Fitz over Sanchez.

At the end of the day, Denver either knew something about Osweiller that was terrible or they really f'ed it up by letting him go.

Fitz is a much better QB than Sanchez. I think on a one-two year deal while you get a plan together isn't a wild gamble. Certainly if Fitz wants more than 2 years, forget it. Peyton ran Kubiack offense as a statue but the Broncos are in a tough spot. Broncos have a lot of questions at RB as well.

Solid mobility but throwing on the run isn't a strength. I wouldn't say throwing is Sanchez's strength at all (lol) but he doesn't lose any accuracy when going from stable base to throwing on the run.

"Better QB". That's such a high level summary of it all that it's nearly useless in determining which QB will perform better in Denver's system, because if you're John Elway that's the only question that matters.

Fitzpatrick's year last year was no doubt better than any year Sanchez has ever had. But Sanchez's arm is stronger, he's more mobile, and he throws on the run better.

Fitzpatrick takes care of the ball much better than Sanchez, which is exactly why he summarizes up to "Better QB" as you put it. But Kubiak's offense is based on a zone-read one-cut running game, off of which bootlegs and other forms of QB motion off play action are designed to get WRs deep. So the Broncos may be willing to overlook Sanchez's warts with turnovers in order to gain the capability to roll out and throw on the run. After all, they just won the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning as a turnover machine this season.

So if I'm the Broncos I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay Fitzpatrick any more than I'd be willing to pay Sanchez. If I brought them both to camp, if I'm Kubiak I'd view it as a complete tossup as to who should be my starter, because of fit.

And in light of that I don't know why you even bother talking to Fitz's agent, knowing that he seeks $14M+ per season.

In the discussion of Bronco quarterback Kapernick is in the discussion. Has the athletic ability for Kubiack, but you pay him over Fitz?

Sanchez might start the season, but wouldn't finish it. I'd be very surprised if horse tooth settled for the Sanchise as the starter.

In the end, Fitz probably goes back to the Jets.

Agreed, Fitz won't find anybody who would find him as valuable as the Jets currently do. Though they did meet twice with RG3, that seems like a due diligence thing.

Re: NFL Free Agency 2016

It's just so friggin nice not to be in the same shoes as the Broncos, Jets, Browns, etc. We actually have a QB for once. What a nice place to be.
