and comparing anyone to microoft is silly they really DON'T owe you anything beyond the crappy product. If windows update wasn't available, they'd still be making billions. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
this just in from sportstalk 980. LaVar has finally had enough. he said he is sick of hearing the coaches say he has to perform on the practice field. He said its hard to prove it on the practice field if you dont get on the field to practice. He feels that he is basically getting spit in the face by this staff. He loves the redskins, the fans, but said if they aren't going to play me, and continue to do this, he wants to be traded. I said long ago, its not Lavars ability to grasp this D, its something within the organization. It might be the contract thing, who knows, but its not because he cant play. Again, he is quoted as saying, "I do not practice!!" I practice as much as I am on the field during games, not at all!!!

If we weren't supposed to know anything about the state of the team other than what we see on Sundays, they wouldn't bother producing a hundred different shows about the NFL and Redskins(locally), and newspapers and radio shows wouldn't bother reporting on team related issues. Now of course no one can force the coaches to divulge information to us, just as no one can force Bill Gates to offer tech support for his product, but if you plan on having repeat customers, or long time fans to generate continued revenue for the future, you do little things like that to appease them. If it got to a point where people stopped buying the tickets and merchandise, things would change because it would be taking money out of Snyders pocket. Luckily for him, that won't happen in any time soon because for some reason, we blindly follow and love the Redskins, in spite of a decade of big spending, false hope, empty promises, and sub par seasons. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
Also, let me say i think this organization, as much as I love the Redskins, is handling this thing like crap. Its basically because of the offseason crap that was said, the contract thing, which LaVar dropped, but was taken back to court by the players association. This is just a series of events that this organization does to give it a black eye. you can not , and i dont care about records and what the defense is doing, so stop saying it. you can not tell me that Warrick,"sorry ass, cant get a sack, make 2 tackles game Holdman is as good or better than LaVar. All of us LaVar Arrington fans are outraged. I dont care if its Joe Gibbs, Dan Snyder to who ever, this is the most rediculous thing they could have done. This is a man that has been the Redskins for 5 years. Stuck by them in all the bad years, reworked contract after contract to get them more money to sign better players, worked his ass off to get back on the field, then loses his job. Zack thomas never lost his job, Urlacher never lost his, it awful. LaVar deserves better, we as Redskin fans wearing #56 and paying the prices to see our favorite players deserve better. This is a bush league thing to do especially to a player than has been this organiztions cash cow for 5 years. REDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
Yes he is a marketing genious, but when it comes to players he is a little tyrant. To do what they are doing w/ Lavar is just plain stupid. I love the Redskins, always will, but how can us fans continue to buy jersey after jersey if they keep going to other teams in 3 years. I know its the way the NFL is, but when are our Redskins going to stay OUR REDSKINS?

if they are planning to trade him , which i think they are, they should play him this year to prove to any potential trade partner that he is still a dominant linebacker and that he has fully recovered from the knee injury.

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
I refuse to believe that in the "animated" discussion Gibbs and Arrington reportedly had that they were discussing rib recipes. Seems weird that in the whole conversation Gibbs didn't tell him exactly why he wasn't playing and what he needed to do to get in the game. Maybe lavar didn't like what he heard and blocked it out.

Bottom line is that Gibbs/GW feel that Lavar off the field makes the team better than him on the field. This doesn't require a conspiracy theory. Their reasons may be personal, professional, organizational, or some combination. However, it is starting to look like there is a personal issue in this. |
