What endearing qualities does your other half display?

We all know we're nuts about the team and we've discussed what lengths we go to for the Redskins. So what does your dearly beloved do that makes you proud? I'll start us off with a quote from JoeRedskin and end with my own example:

When Michelle and I attended our first Redskins game in DC we waited to greet some of the players at the entrance a few hours before kick-off. I was happy to hang back with her and play 'Spot the Star', I didn't realize that she'd get so into it. She was wearing an Arrington jersey and I had on a Jacoby and a 22 with my name. LaVar was one of the first Skins to arrive (after Bowen and Coles) and we both cheered when he pulled up in his black Porsche. He parked up in the lot and wandered over to start signing stuff, Michelle let out a really terrifying squeal and shot through a scrum of fans knocking people down and generally looking like Riggins with the goal line in view, she even snached some poor kids Sharpie without asking. She got her jersey signed, he got pierced eardrums and we had something to talk about for the three hours left to wait. They always surprise you.

When I started dating my girlfriend six months ago she really didnt know much about football. So I started her off by giving her two anwsers, then I ask the questions later. The anwser is either the University of Miami, or the Skins. Whenever im hanging out with friends and a player comes up ill go "baby, what college did ..... go to", and sure enough she gets it right everytime.

What's scary for me is that when my wife and I started dating she HATED football and just about any sport. To her they were "just games kids play". About five years ago she got involved in a football pool at work and, with absolutely no knowledge of the game, won the first three weeks. She started caring about who won so she would watch the games with me to keep up on the scores.

Now, she knows pretty much all the "name players" from various teams and knows most of the Skins 1st and 2nd stringers. On top of that, every now and then, she'll make a comment about a player, team or formation to which I have to reply "I didn't know that". Most importantly, she lets me feed my 'Skins addiction (she okay'd season tickets, money for which, trust me, could have been spent on about a several other things including refurbishing her kitchen).

All of this b/c she lucked into $60 bucks - I must have had some good karma stored somewhere.

My wife doesn't laugh at me when I sing "Hail to the Redskins" as a lullaby. That seems like enough.

BrudLee sings to the local neighborhood teenagers. He puts more of a 50 cent vibe to it.

Let me exemplify my lovely wife's most endearing quality, a kind heart:
Sadly, and through no fault of her own, Michelle was raised to be a Giants fan. Last year we attended our first Redskins game together at FedEx against, you guessed it, the Giants. You all know how well that went for us. Behind early, with a nice comeback attempt, only to fall short. She was wonderful enough not to make me feel any more miserable than I already was during our long drive back to Connecticut. I can't say that I would have been as generous.

I'm not sure if I should consider this "endearing" or not, but my wife refers to Lavar as "my boyfriend", and she recently received a customized t-shirt in the mail that simply reads: "I (heart) #56".

The heart even has that really cool shiny/sparkly iron-on effect like you used to see on really hip, form-fitting t-shirts in the late '70s and early '80s... I have to admit, I'm a little bit jealous...

Somehow the two Arrington jerseys I bought don't seem like adequate homage in comparison.:o

I kick it old school, son! I'll even throw in a non-PC "Scalp 'em" every now and again to see if the boy is listening.

joecrisp you need to bring out those pants, what were they called, Jammers i think. The radial kinda lighting bolt pants that everyone wore in the late 80's. get the skins version of them.
