Re: DHall thinks Bill Callahan could get the HC job next year
On what he just did Sunday,he's not much improvement trying to run the ball down the Niners throats wasn't gonna work for long and it didn't,we need some imagination on offense but we have none.

Re: DHall thinks Bill Callahan could get the HC job next year
Callahan is trying to win with a retro kind of football that just can’t be successful in today’s football. The only reason this game against the 49ers was close was because rain was so heavy, in an open stadium. We also don’t have a dominate enough OL to run successfully for an entire game.
NFL Teams now are built to score points. We have some good defensive players but who are coached poorly. Our defense still can hold a good offense for awhile, but then they stay on the field too long and our opponent scores more points than we can generate with a crappy QB and a running offensive strategy. The defense against a run heavy offense, like Callahan envisions, is simply to put eight in the box. Stack the line. This forces the QB to throw and complete passes in order to open up the defense. Keenum is incapable of doing that. He’s not a good passer. Eventually the offense has enough “three and outs” and the defense gets exhausted. We lose the game. If Callahan was doing this strategy with Haskins, I’d understand. But neither Keenum nor McCoy is good enough to beat a stacked defense with their passing ability. Callahan is drinking the Bruce Allen koolaid by imagining that we can win with a journeyman QB like Keenum and a run-heavy offensive strategy that hasn’t worked in a generation. Perhaps by living in the BA alternate universe that we’re almost ready to win consistently, Callahan hopes to get the HC job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"We have the players in the locker room that can win now and are true leaders"
"We are in no rush to play Dwayne, we know Case can lead this team" Jesus, Bill is basically Bruce Allen's clone

Re: DHall thinks Bill Callahan could get the HC job next year
I admit, I am confused by the apparent change in narrative.
I thought Jay was sabotaging Haskins by not playing him and/or a way to stick it to Allen/Snyder. I thought Allen/Snyder wanted Haskins starting. The Louis Riddick's of the world were directly pleeing to Dan Snyder to see Jay Gruden's "agenda". Now that Allen has a company man in place .... Haskins may not start all year? Why isnt Louis Riddick talking about how everyone thought Jared Goff was a bum until he wasnt? Why isnt Riddick slamming Callahan for not starting Haskins? I assume Bruce Allen was feeding Riddick "information" for Riddick to go on national TV and say Gruden had an agenda etc ... Im not a fan of Riddick. Seems hypocritical and swarmy to me. |

I’m far less impressed with Callahan every game. He’s playing to not to lose big, not to win. Whether he thinks Haskins is ready the team is now fully committed to him for the result year. The talk about Kennum is just adding the confusion. Case will be another in a long list of veterans dumped by the team next year. Stop playing ALL OF THEM (the vets) and try out the rookies and the young players. See what we have with the young guys and see if we need to draft into their positions in 2020.
BA needs to be fired the day after the super bowl so we can get a real GM. This draft and trades can begin to be reviewed ASAP BY a recruiting guru. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
