I suspect that’s their plan - he plays in 3 weeks. If he can’t go after the bye, this was a much more serious injury than it seemed as he’d have about 2 months off at that point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd be fine if he sits and makes his debut after the bye week. The Lattimore trade is both a short term and long term investment. He's on contract for two more years and is in his prime.

Re: Lattimore trade shows Commanders' bright future is now
They wouldn't have traded for him if they thought his injury was going to keep him out of the majority of the games over the next couple years. I'm more interested in him being 100% next year, than having him for a playoff push we weren't even supposed to be making.
He's a great CB when healthy, but he's not going to be the difference between winning and not winning the Super Bowl this year. There's a lot more work to do with this roster. |

Re: Lattimore trade shows Commanders' bright future is now
I think this trade will end up being AP’s first biggest bust. I have no faith in him being healthy for us next year.
You trade for someone of that caliber during the season; you expect him to impact this season. That hasn’t happened. The fact we have still have won without him; shows you the trade was unnecessary during the season. It was a move we could have made in the offseason. |

It doesn't look good so far, but it's still too early to deem this move as a waste one. Hopefully Lattimore will see that the other players (i.e., Christian Watson & Tee Higgins) are taking action to improve their hamstrings and follow their actions in the offseason.

He had a hammy when they traded for him....they knew he was a A+ talent but knew it would take time for him to recover from the injury......we still have him under contract regardless.....
