Re: Around the League
Belichick's record without Brady as his quarterback was 83-104, a .449 winning percentage.
Just sayin'.

Re: Around the League
This is why I rate Gibbs way above Belichick.
How many Super Bowls would Belichick have won with Theismann, Williams or Rypien? I'd say none!

Re: Around the League
It was surprisingly bad. Still should not preclude him from being a 1st ballot HOF. His tenure at UNC is off to a rocky start. He's a workaholic, and post Brady hasn't been good. His 8 combined rings and 3x coach of year says enough.

Re: Around the League
Do you have around $10 Billion lying around? Then you can be the proud owner of the SuperBowl 60 Champs- Seattle Seahawks. As expected, the Allen Trust put the Seahawks up for sale. I think $10 Billion is realistic, especially for team that just won the Superbowl.
Does Bezos plunk down $10 Billion? This team is a far better buy than we were in 23. |

Re: Around the League
Had Brady gone to Oakland instead of a stacked TB team, his record wouldn't have fared any better TBH. That TB team was a SB contender before he landed, they simply just needed a QB that didn't throw 30 fucking INTs (Jameis Winston).

Re: Around the League
The Falcons jumping ahead of us last year may have saved the Redskins a lot of heart ache. They jumped ahead thinking the Skins were going to take Pearce (probably correct). He went on to have a great year and now it is likely he will never play again due to what he did over this week - chasing down his former girlfriend and ramming her car(He's lucky the cops didn't shoot him given he apparently hit a cop with his car when they were attempting to arrest him).

Re: Around the League
From ESPN
>>>>> The NFL is exploring adding a "Thanksgiving Eve" game on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, potentially starting as early as the 2026 season . This new, standalone, primetime game would join an already packed holiday schedule of three Thursday games and a Black Friday matchup, aiming to boost revenue and viewer engagement. ESPN ESPN +5 Key Details Regarding the Potential Wednesday Game: Timing: The game would take place on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026. Schedule Impact: If implemented, this would create a 10-day, action-packed stretch for football fans, following college games on Saturday and preceding the traditional Thanksgiving and Friday matchups. Logistics: Teams playing on this Wednesday would likely be coming off a bye week to manage player rest. Context: This move follows the success of recent holiday expansions, including games on Black Friday and Christmas. <<< That game will kill a full bye week for 2 teams. After a game, 9-10 days later you would have the Wednesday game. With the bye 3 days before Wednesday game. Then another game that following Th,Su,M. |

Re: Around the League
Be interesting to see how they figure this with a proposed 18 game season. Adding this in with the suggestion of only 2 PS games, but an additional bye week, could still see the season extend another week.
