Reggie Wayne
Does anyone else think that Reggie Wayne would be a great pickup for the Skins if we could get him? I'm pretty sure he is a FA this year and if Indy has to spend a lot to get the Edge, maybe they'd be willing to part with Wayne.
His size and speed would be a perfect to match up with Santana. Plus, we palyed for the U and we've all seen how those guys perform in the Burgundy and Gold.

Re: Reggie Wayne
It's been pretty much discussed in other threads. We'll see.....perhaps Gibbs is open to it, I know Santana and Portis surely are.

Re: Reggie Wayne
Yeah, I was just reading that other thread; probably should have done that before I starting typing.

Re: Reggie Wayne
I don't feel Reggie Wayne will be worth the cash he's going to command. While he's a good receiver it's easy to look awesome in that offense across from Harrison. I also feel our offense needs a possession guy that can be a bail out guy incase Cooley isn't out in a pattern or is covered. A leaper.. screw it -- who wants to come kidnap chad johnson with me?

Re: Reggie Wayne
I would love to see Chad Johnson in burgundy and gold.
I honestly don't think we can afford Reggie Wayne. While I would love to have him, his price is going to be way too high. |

Re: Reggie Wayne
Not only is Wayne likely out of our price range because of the cap, he wants to be a #1 WR and with Moss that's not going to happen in DC..

The whole "who's number#1 and who's number#2" was one of the topics of discussion last year during training camp. Moss really had a great attitude about it. He basically said he doesn't really care about (David Patten) being number one but rather he was more concerned about winning. With both of them coming from the "U", I can't see that being an issue unless WAyne came right out and said that. |

Re: Reggie Wayne
I don't think he is going to be as expesive as everyone seems to think, but the future will tell on that. As far as him being happy in Burgundy and Gold, I think he will love playing with his very good friend and college roommate. I think he wants to win more than he cares about the statis of #1 or 2 WR. And he will be the perfect compliment to Santana Moss & Vice Versa. As far as a possession WR. I think bringing in Keenan McCardell would be a good move even at his age he has aknack for getting open and making the tough clutch catches. He aslo has very good Chemistry with Brunell. Koren Robinson I feel could be gotten cheap as well and would be a good gamble.

Re: Reggie Wayne
Wayne will be too expensive.
We need to find and develop our own talent, not get everybody else's. Salary cap needs to stay in control. |

Re: Reggie Wayne
he'd probably be overkill and it'd make it harder to keep everyone else together farther down the road... but man he'd be tempting
